Very friendly

We had a wonderful experience. The only thing I would improve is that I couldn't get it cool enough in the room, but they were happy to provide a fan for us.

Nice hotel

The room was larger than I expect and the continental breakfast was good. My only concern was a insect that I found in the bathroom that looked eerily like a roach...I squished it but still....yuck

Nice large rooms, and beautiful grounds.

Posted 22-Jul-2016
Pros: Price, and beautiful manicured grounds, large rooms.
Cons: Need fan in bathroom, and sink relocated to vanity. Lots of homeless patrolling up and down Shaw.
Location: Lots of good restaurants within close walking distance.
Large facility with beautifully manicured grounds and gardens. Nice clean pool, and rooms are large and quiet except for the ones facing Shaw, in which you will hear traffic. Bathrooms need a fan, and the sink should be relocated from the toilet area to the vanity area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our toilet had problems flushing.

Very comfortable.

Posted 21-Jul-2016
Pros: We were at the back with the trees, etc. Very pretty.
Cons: The "American breakfast".
Location: We were there as my brother is dying in a nearby nursing home so weren't looking for "things to do" nearby.
Only problem was the door to the facility where our room was wouldn't open with the swipe key so I always had to go to the opposite end and go thru that door and then to the door closest to our room to let my husband in. We got new keys but it was the same thing with the new ones. Had to be the door that was the problem.

Semi-frequent stayer. My Mom lives nearby.

I live 15 minutes north of the GG bridge. The hotel is a relic from the 70's that is having renovation. It needs updating but for the price you get what you need for an overnight. A clean room, very spacious. Very spacious grounds and parking. A good bed. Water pressure is low in some buildings but sufficient for a shower. No microwave but small fridge. No DVD but I just hook my iPhone into the HDMI and watch YouTube concerts. You can't pause TV, right ? Get a room on the second floor of the east building ( eastbrook I think). They have carpet in the hallway. Some of the buildings have tile and if your sleeping you hear it ALL ! IF YOU ARE IMPATIENT AND EXPECT EVERYTHING FOR A CHEEP PRICE DONT STAY THERE. IF YOU ARE THANKFUL FOR OTHER PEOPLE WORKING HARD TO GIVE YOU A BED FOR THE NIGHT ITS A GOOD PLACE TO BE. AND GUESS WHAT. IF YOU WANT TO SPEND THE MONEY YOU SAVED ? LOOK UP THE RESTAURANT ANNEX ACROSS THE STREET. YOU CAN WALK TO A MARTINI AND BAY AREA QUALITY FOOD !!!

Unexpected Comfort

Posted 10-Jul-2016
When we checked into Picadilly Inn Shaw I was a little worried about the site since I have never heard of the place before. It proved to be a comfortable stay with a pretty good breakfast. Staff was nice, room was clean and comfortable, it was easy to access our room, and the area had lots of restaurant and shopping choices. I would easily recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

The air conditioner was disruptive. Very noisy.

Posted 04-Jul-2016
Pros: The price for a room.
Cons: The coffee, and servicing the air conditioner. The weather in Fresno averaged 108 degrees each day.
Location: Plenty of restaurants and access to stores.
The hotel was reasonably priced and the front desk team was cordial. The air conditioner in my room was disruptive when it would go through cycles to adjust through the evening and early morning. It woke me up a few times. The bar and lounge was closed for a remodel so I had to go outside for a glass of wine and dinner. I might give this location another chance in the future, but was disappointed with the amenities. The morning coffee was weak and tasteless.
