Rain leaks in room and hallway

Posted 02-Feb-2016
Restaurant/bar closed for renovation so the meeting I had hoped to have in there on a Sunday morning was not possible. Asked if there was some other common area where we could be for an hour or so?.... Answer: No, but the patio was available ( weather report forecast a cold winter rain all day). Asked if a meeting room might be used by two people for an hour, if not booked considering the renovation? Answer: yes, for an additional charge. Really?!!! Not very accommodating considering the Inn was not very busy or full. Given two vouchers for a continental breakfast. Asked if I could have my meeting in there? Answer: I suppose... For an additional $15... Geez!!! Oh yeah, the building they put us in was way in the back and had a very leaky roof when that rain begin early Sunday morning

We weren't able to even check in.

They said they had to have an extra $50 deposit for the room that we did not have on the card. And refused cash so We couldn't check in.

Clean and staff is very helpful

Posted 25-Jan-2016
Pros: Staff
Cons: air flow!
Location: It was close to where we needed to go so worked out well.
it was a little disappointing from the pictures online. The room was musty as there is no fan to take the moisture from showering out. It was clean and the room is very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was good to have and the staff is very good.

Not quite 3 star; Run down and old rooms

Posted 24-Jan-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms remodeling/updated
We have stayed at this hotel every year when I visit my parents since it's so close to their home. This will be the last time we stay here. The rooms are in desperate need of remodels. We found stained pillows, mold in the window sill and in the heater in the first room we were given. We switched rooms and found dust in the vents as well so we cleaned them. The smell in the second room was much better than the first. Last year the hotel spent a lot of money remodeling the front desk and this year they are remodeling the restaurant. It's obvious they want to make a good impression when people walk into their lobby but they don't care about the cleanliness of their guest rooms.

I've stayed here before and the only problems I would say is customer service. They were not pleasant over the phone.

Nice hotel, very quiet

Posted 28-Dec-2015
I was there visiting for Xmas Eve and Xmas day as I was visiting my daughter. Had a great time at her house, but was happy to get back to my nice room in one of the four buildings. Nice and quiet with no traffic noise. A definite plus.

Good location for us, love the old fashioned charm

Posted 17-Dec-2015
We were a bit early and checking in at 1pm was no problem. Housekeeping was excellent. Breakfast buffet was good. Comfy overstuffed armchair and footstool in our room was a pleasant surprise. Quiet grounds, our building was off the main road. Love the layout, trees and gardens of this place. Very charming.

Neat Wooded Hotel

Posted 01-Dec-2015
Pros: Breakfast was great. Loved the decentralized feel of not being all in one building.
Cons: Maybe the heaters and thermostats could be updated. Ours looked like it was from the 1970's when other parts were much more up to date.
Location: The location was a little far from the freeway, but not terribly far. There is a pizza place across the street that is open late.
The hotel and staff were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was very good. Lots of hot coffee, the eggs and country potatoes were kept hot. The only issue I had was that the heater did not heat the room above 60 degrees. It was turned off when we came in, and the thermostat said it was 50 in the room. I turned the heat on and set it to about 70 (a little hard to tell on the old style), it warmed to 60 and stopped. I pushed it up further and nothing else happened.
