I liked the staff and the smell of the clean room and sheets. Also, the comfort of the bed and pillows was perfect for me - best I’ve had anywhere. Very decent morning breakfast which is free. I didn’t like the bird poo on the window and one of the treadmills didn’t work properly.

We had a good experience staying at the property. Only complaint was there were no ear plugs available at the front desk. We went to Lowe's nearby to by some ear plugs just in case but thankfully they were not needed for our stay.

People were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast offerings were poor but it wasn't really important to us. We would stay there again should we need to be in the area.

My wife and I were there to visit friends, the property provided a quiet atmosphere which enabled us to get a good night sleep

The heater did not work in the first room. I did receive help from the front desk girl after a bit. She came up and tried to get it going. She then called the manager, who gave her tips to try, then advised her to give me a different room. The heater did work in the second room! Yay! (The toilet did run all night, but I was not going to say anything--just happy that I had heat!!

Some kind of construction going on and heard vehicles backing up all night. May have been the Walmart distribution center across the way by the traffic and backing up vehicles (with beeping alert) were noisy. Otherwise it is a nice hotel for the price.

This is the second property of Holiday in Express that I have stayed at in the last two months that the television does not work. No signal and the remotes do not work either. The remotes only turn on the tv and off. No other function works

Great place
I was really impressed with this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the price was affordable. I would stay here again anytime I’m in the area.

Always a great stay here!
I stay here multiple times per year. I have never had a bad experience. This trip was excellent as well. The quality of the breakfast is very good. All staff are helpful. I had a last minute business meeting and I was allowed to extend my checkout without any issue.

I would have enjoyed having a microwave in the room. Also, when I asked if I could get a copy of material that I needed for my work (just 2 pages) and offered to pay for it, I was told that no one had access to the manager's office and so I could not get copies. That was inconvenient for me.

Lucille, this is horrible I'm so sorry you experienced this but, I think you have the wrong hotel. We here at the Holiday Inn Express, Porterville; have a copy machine right behind the front desk and its not locked in a managers office. Also, all of our rooms include a microwave.

Decent place to stay in the area
The room was good for its price, I didn’t like the hallways in the property where hot seems like they had the AC of so temperature wise, outside the room was a little warm for me or for what’s typical of a hotel. Also too many spiders in the bathroom, maybe some exterminator service is needed for in the walls or piping. parking was a little reduced but served its purpose.

The room was very nice and clean and the bed was so big I got lost in it! Ha! We stayed at this hotel, as did many other people from out of town, for a wedding. My parents and I would have liked to have been able to get into our rooms at 1:00pm when we arrived to freshen up and change from our long drive. Our rooms were not available so we used the bathrooms which were a good second.

We checked in ok, but when we got to our room we noticed that the Sade over the only window was broken and wouldn’t open. So the room was very dark. We called the desk and one person said that there was no maintenance person there until the next day. I said we were checking out the next day and asked for a discount, he said, “hold on”. Then a lady got on and she said she would send someone up to fix it. No one ever came. I feel like they were just being rude and trying to get us off the phone.
