Bad Location

Posted 23-Nov-2015
Pros: Cookie cutter Hampton Inn layout. Serviceable with the requisite free breakfast and relatively affordable rates.
Cons: Location, location, location.
When you check into a hotel and they offer you ear plugs because it is situated between a busy freeway and busy railroad tracks, you know there's a problem. This hotel is on the edge of the city in an area that lacks charm (unless you find freeways and rail tracks charming) and while there are some services within walking distance(across busy streets), if you are in town for anything happening at the Fresno State Campus this is a longer (as in feels like it's in another city) drive than you may want for commuting back and forth to the campus.

Nicely appointed.

Posted 13-Nov-2015
Pros: Location. Cleanliness.
Cons: Save the adjoining suites for people who are traveling together.
Location: Close to the 99 freeway. Restaurant and coffee shop steps away.
Generally like this hotel. Unfortunately on this visit I had a room with a locked door to an adjoining room. This arrangement transmitted all noise from the neighbors.

Nice hotel in north Fresno

Posted 08-Oct-2015
Pros: It is in a newer part of town.
Cons: Needs a sit-down restaurant. There are only fast food places nearby.
Location: It is located between Highway 99 and the train tracks. A water park was a short ways south.
This Hampton Inn is in the north end of Fresno in a newer area - there are many old, seedy areas in Fresno. you will want to avoid It is sandwiched between Highway 99 and the very busy train tracks, which means lots of noise. The restaurant in front is closed. The hotel is like most Hampton Inns - very nice.

Hampton Inn Fresno

Posted 15-Aug-2015 on Hotels
Business trip for three days. The only complaint I have with most Hampton's is they have the AC unit facing the bed on their standard rooms. The room just seems to be either too cold or too hot. Maybe the rooms being smaller causes this.
