DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bristol South - Cadbury House

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bristol South - Cadbury House

10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful setting, hotel and grounds were lovely, staff were all helpful, layout of hotel was quite confusing for us as we were located on the 1st floor, this meant we had to go upstairs to go down to floor 1 - took a bit of time to get used to. Room was large and great toiletries provided in rooms. The spa was great, relaxation room perfect. We ate in the steak restaurant and food was exceptional. Considering this was not a city centre hotel was surprised to have to pay for parking, of which there were plenty of spaces when we arrived."

"A good little find. The pub is independent so I like to support that. Parking great and location for me great. The room was a little snug and as it's above a pub you can expect a bit of noise but bang on closing it went quiet... I would stay again"

Hathway House

Hathway House

8/10 Good
"I contacted the owner a number of times to say I would be arriving late, and replies were almost nothing. My room key was left out on a welcome desk with my name. I arrived to an open front door with zero security. A random person who was trying to contact the host said to me, are you James? Your key is there. I was a little uneasy to be really honest. However, while room was an adequate 2stars, the bed was so unlevel i had to prop the mattress one side with my bags and pillow. Would I stay again, yes in an emergency."

"The property was exactly as described and everything we needed as a base to stay and visit family. The location was lovely and quiet and despite the hosts living just behind, it felt like we were in our own hideaway.Liz and John were so friendly and helpful and there were even toys and games available for the children to use, which they loved! The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed and the welcome treats were a lovely bonus. All in all a fabulous week was had and we couldn’t have asked for a better house to base ourselves."
