Sitting high overlooking Lake George in northeast Indiana/ southern Michigan, the Sunset Haus is a fantastic family retreat. The house offers accommodations for 10 with a broad and unobstructed view of Lake George. Sit on the porch overlooking the lake or head down to the lakefront boathouse to take in all Lake George has to offer.

Enjoy Lake George from our private boathouse, aboard 2 kayaks available for your use, or bring your own boat. Swim right from the end of the dock in one of the clearest glacier formed lakes in Indiana! Enjoy cooking in the well outfitted kitchen, or relax in one of the 3 upstairs bedrooms or the basement bunkhouse. It's all yours at the Sunset Haus on Lake George.

Note: A public boat launch is available, and you can tie off a boat 19' or less to our dock in a designated area. Just bring your own ropes and buoys! Pontoon boats cannot be accommodated. Tying off is at your own risk, and may not obstruct our neighbors use of the shared dock.

Relaxing at Lake George!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lake cottage! Nicely appointed and very liveable, everyone particularly enjoyed sitting on the front porch under the big maple tree, watching the boats on the water! Very relaxing! Thank you so much for sharing your propery with us!

Our 3rd year staying here and the house is as nice as ever! Truly enjoyed the yard for the grandkids to play. Our only suggestion would be to improve the access to the lake itself. Getting in and out of the water can be a challenge, especially for the kids.

Sunset Haus is Wonderful
Six of us spent a great week at Sunset Haus in early August. We enjoyed every amenity, especially the boat house where we could leave all our water toys after a full day on the lake. The property is a great location for a relaxing stay and Chris and Becky are very easy to work with.

A fabulous place to stay! We had a family wedding to attend nearby at the Red Barn Acres, a beautiful venue. Sunset Haus was the best choice ever! Some lake time for the college kids, down time for the adults, and a mini get away weekend for our son & his wife who are expecting their first baby! The view is amazing! Fabulous, clean home that was large enough to not trip over each other while getting ready for the wedding! Beds were comfy and everyone slept through the evening thunderstorms! The hosts are spot on! Some pier time, sun bathing, kayaking, friendly neighbors, and beautiful sunsets did not disappoint!!

This is our 2nd consecutive year at this property. I wouldn't change a thing from last year's review. The lake is so nice and clear you end up spending most of your time in the lake. The Kayaks (single and double) enable you to see all of the houses on the lake up close. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for some quality vaca time.

Wonderful Week At Sunset Haus
Our family from Detroit and Chicago met in the middle and spent a wonderful week at Sunset Haus in early August 2021. It was more than we had anticipated. Everyone really enjoyed using the boat house and the dock and raft and kayaks. We spent a lot of time on the waterfront. And at the table in the dining room which is so beautiful. The courtyard was perfect for our youngest (15 months) to crawl around without risk. The flowers were gorgeous and perfectly framed the sunsets on the front balcony. Communication with the Blair Team was easy and quick. We would love to return.

St. George Stay
We really enjoyed our stay. The place was more than adequate for 5 adults and 2 small children. The host was wonderful and very responsive if we had a question. The location is great. Although the St. George Lake was somewhat smaller than the surrounding lakes, it is was still quite large. And, it turned out we preferred it to the other lakes as the water was so clear. There are no boat rentals on St. George lake. We took two day trips to Lake James and Cold Water Lake where we rented a pontoon boat to explore the chain of lakes associated with each. I would highly recommend this activity. On the other days we spent hanging around the lake, swimming and using the Kayaks.
