We stayed for two nights to see the sights in Copenhagen. To get to the hotel from the airport, it was an easy ride on the Metro (Forum station), then about 10 minutes walk to the hotel. If you have a lot of luggage, it's not so easy since the sidewalks are made of cobblestone, which makes it hard to roll suitcases. Check-in was easy and we were given the room with an alcove in the turret. The alcove had a cute circular day bed for lounging in. The room is somewhat tight with most of the space taken up by the king-sized bed. The breakfast buffet was good and adequate, but the food seemed not to vary much from day to day. It's a pleasant 20-minute walk to the city center along/across the lakes. There are a few restaurants to eat at near the hotel if one does not feel like returning to the city center for dinner.
Frederiksberg Mansion B&B is a different type of house with unusual decor and large spacious rooms (well ours was). The bathroom was shared. Breakfast was beautifully presented and for two of the three mornings we shared the breakfast table with other guests (of all nationalities) which was great! The place grew on us. Parking is limited to three cars on the drive. Street parking is only allowed for two hours between 8.00 and 16.00. Bikes can be hired nearby, or there are buses into Copenhagen. Hope this helps...
We had a 18 hour stop-over at Copenhagen, we choose this hotel seeing the amazing price for our family of four and decent review ratings. We are not disappointed and it suited well for what we expected. From the airport, we took trains and in 30 minutes we were in Forum station (with a single train change at Norreport). Another 5 minutes walk to reach this hotel (turn right at station and turn again right next to 3 stone statues). Rooms were small and bathrooms were like cabin - however provided good hot shower. We took the map available at the hotel and went first to Little mermaid and then walked through other attractions like harbor front, frederik's church, gefion fountain, royal danish playhouse and Nyhavn. Next day morning took the train around 5am in the morning and completely felt safe at the place.
This is a very comfortable, pleasant hotel and less expensive than many other hotels in Copenhagen for the size of the room and amenities included. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean, but somewhat outdated in terms of style. The breakfast selection is very good. Hotel is close to metro for getting into town and lots of fun activities nearby, especially if with kids (i.e. Zoo, parks, playgrounds).
The hotel was reasonably priced for its location, despite the fact that Copenhagen is a very expensive city. The single room was clean and cozy, albeit a bit small. But for one person, it was more than enough! The bathroom was very small, but not the end of the world all things considered. It was just a 15 minute walk to the Central Square, which was very convenient. The price could have included a breakfast seeing, but again, not the end of the world. Would definitely recommend it for someone spending a few days visiting Copenhagen and wants to be close enough to the Central Square and Central Train Station.
This prestigious residential municipality is home to the city zoo and has many parks, including the Botanical Gardens, Frederiksberg Park, the landscaped gardens of the Frederiksberg Palace and a maze in the shape of the Tuborg label. Also nearby are the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain factory and the Museum of Modern Glass Art. The streets of Gammel Kongevej and Falkoner Allé are the focus for upmarket shopping, dining and night life.
