Would not recommend this hotel at all. Area felt unsafe. I didn’t even stay the night here. Room was dirty, the couch had some questionable stains on it and the toilet was broken and the worker wanted me to fix it. Worker at the front desk was friendly but not very helpful. The pictures may look nice but don’t be fooled like I was, the hotel also has a weird smell that gave me a headache.

The rooms were in good shape, even though there was a cockroach in our room. Elevators were down, plumbing issues where the roof had not been repaired and moldy smell in the hallways and stairwell.

Towels and curtains had stains and crust on them. The toilet was clogged because somebody before us flushed makeup wipes down there. When we went to the front desk about this, they just handed us a plunger that didn’t work. The toilet stayed clogged the entire time we were there. Shower floor had black grime around the drain area. The only good thing was the mirror. The mirror was cool.

It’s a cheap hotel and you get what you pay for. It was mediocre at best. Nothing was overtly wrong, just meh. My least favorite part was the breakfast. Bland potatoes and eggs and no meat was offered. They have the standard Texas shape waffle, but were out of the regular waffle mix. So unless you like pumpkin or chocolate flavored waffles, you’re out of luck. I know there are worse places, but there’s definitely nicer ones. But we had a place to stay that was cheap so I guess that’s what I was in the market for.

Area felt unsafe. They tried to update and modernize rooms and lobby but every hallway had security doors and lobby did as well. While one can so they we proactive with security, for which I agree, but at same time it felt like the area may have been tough too. People all ages screaming & running up & down the hallways. All races of people were living in the hotel. Food smells were horrible. Trash bags always by the elevators. Room was not comfortable. Not the nicest hotel.
We had to eat when we got there to check in. Understaffed. We got to our room. No phone and the trim was coming off in the bathroom. The curtains were filthy and the bed creaked every time we moved. The elevator broke at some point so we had to go down a flight to send it to the 3rd floor. We walked to dinner and there were homeless people all over the place. Police siren throughout the night too. Did not feel safe at all. Other people were yelling in the halls and being very disrespectful. Not happy with our stay. Couldn’t wait to get out of there!!!!

So so. You get what you pay for.
You can tell the hotel had been recently remodeled, however there were corners cut or funding issues at the end. The blow dryer in the room didn’t work and looked very used. Not only did the phone not work it was not even connected or a wire to do so. The carpets were nice and plush, the wood flooring was layer over existing tile and you could tell where holes or drains were at. I’ll choose another hotel next time I’m in town.
