The Atlantic was pretty much "as advertised" -- a 4.5 star facility. The room was a large studio with a double sink bathroom and separate shower and tub; there was a small kitchenette. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful.

Fantastic hotel. Great room and was very clean. Even though there was construction, I see it as a positive, as they are trying to better a hotel that I already consider great. Lastly, amazing location literally right next to the ocean.
This hotel was a very nice surprise. When you drive up it looks small, and a bit of a throw-back. Once inside, you realize it's beauty and size. It is right on an expansive but somewhat private part of the beach, good for beach walking, sun bathing, etc. And then there's all the rest...pools, tennis court, games, tiki bar and more. Although our January weather was very rainy, we also enjoyed playing board games in the nicely-appointed lounge. We chose dinner in the restaurant one rainy night and thoroughly enjoyed it. We enjoyed this hotel located in a nice quiet neighborhood and would definitely go back.
Overall, the hotel was a good value for the price. Location is relatively close and we were able to uber easily. Not the hotels fault, but construction outside was somewhat disturbing, especially moving equipment around outside at 3am. Restaurant food/beverages good value and friendly staff. WIFI going through upgrade and was not working.
I ended up staying at the Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort Hotel after reserving a room using the Expedia Unpublished Rates option (meaning I did not know where I was staying until making the reservation). Overall, I was very happy with the experience. The room was clean, the hotel was quiet, and the staff was very friendly. That said, it is not a 3-star hotel as claimed by the Expedia unpublished rate service. It is an old two-story motel with external doors with a lobby that is a small hut in front of the building. The rooms have been renovated, but the outside of the hotel, the stairs, and the elevator (especially) are showing substantial age.
One other note, when I stayed (January 2016), there was substantial construction on the road in front of the hotel that makes it difficult to get into or out of the motel. This was not included in any advertisements for the hotel. Anyone traveling in early 2016 should take this into account.
I got parking right in front, received an upgrade so we got an awesome suite. The bar lacks a little due to no hard alcohol, we didn't eat there so I can't comment on that. Definitely. pay the extra for the ocean view rooms, they're fantastic
Galt Villas an older 60's style motel with exterior access to your room. It us like stepping back in time! There was plenty of parking. Check in was quick and the front desk attendant was very friendly. Our room was on the second floor up steep stairs, no elevator. Our room had everything we needed including a mini fridge. It was very clean although slightly smallish and dated.
