We found this to be a perfect hotel for a fall getaway. From the moment we walked through the doors we were treated wonderfully! Robbie at the front desk was truly exceptional and worked hard to make sure that our stay was memorable. The view from the room was exceptional! We will be back for sure!

My wife and I plus our two adult children (separate room for them) stayed at this hotel just one night before we headed out on a 7 day Caribbean cruise, I wish we could have spent more time at Pillars.
This is a small boutique hotel that is so lovely inside and out. The quality of finishes EVERYWHERE are top notch and so much more than you should expect for the price. I have stayed in the Ritz Carlton and other high end hotels and spent so much more money per night to recieve a similar quality room, furnishings, surroundings and service. The Pillar is so much better than those large impersonal hotels because everything, and everyone at the Pillar cater to the individual versus the masses!!!
I wish there were Pillars all over the world because I would stay there each and every time.
We had dinner and breakfast down at the dock overlooking the canal, it was truly amazing in quality, location and service.

Three-night weekend trip in October. Yes, it's all about the location and the views. It's a clean, comfortable, upscale hotel across AIA from a section of beach less crowded than sections a few blocks south. Decent little neighborhood with food available and ten minutes walk to Galleria Mall inland that includes some pricier restaurants. Staff were almost uniformly friendly and competent, with a special shout out to Suzette at the front desk. Notable exceptions were unseen housekeeping and kitchen staff who inexplicably left bags of garbage and used room service plates in the 9th floor hallway for hours on end. And, yes, they get you on overnight valet parking, but the valets are very efficient. Our corner room had glorious views both over the state park north and out to the ocean. Definitely seek higher floors and corners, ideally! A Saturday night wedding DJ in the penthouse had the walls shaking until just after 11 PM. All rooms do face the water. Room itself comfortable and stylish, but not particularly large or luxurious, and sadly lacked a coffee maker (go down to the Bistro and pay $3 for a cup with all-day refills). Pool is pretty small, but was never crowded on our weekend. Take a bunch of Sonesta pool towels to the beach! Overall, a pleasant time and can compare favorably to a past stay at the Atlantic Hotel closer to Las Olas.
The lady at the counter was with a customer and she was very nice with them and after she finished with them I asked do my check out and she was not acting as was with the other couple, provably because I'm Spanish person.
