If you are looking for 5 star comfort this is not for you but we loved this character building. We could not fault the staff/service/restaurant/rooms. Really great value for money. Highly recommend as also well placed for walking to all the sights.

We chose this hotel as it is only a 5 minute walk to railway station . It is a old fashioned Victoria looking hotel with all the mod cons such as Satelite/Cable TV and Free WiFi we stayed in a junior suite on second floor only downside to room is it didn't have a window as the AC was there instead but you only stay in you room to shower and sleep so not a problem to us. We found the staff very friendly and helpful . A buffet breakfast is included we ate in the restuarant food was nice sevice was good.question would I stay there again answer Yes.

Pros: While we had a midnight wakeup call by some blood thirsty bedbugs in room 102 they let us change rooms to room 106. In room 106 towels are very clean. You get complimentary toilet paper and Medimix soap. Room service is quick and they come with a smile. Location is nice since it's a 50 rupee by the meter, auto ride away from Calaba Causeway and Fashion Street shopping areas. Just make sure you grab an auto passing by and say no to the hotel taxis who charge 2-4 times more. But if you got money to blow then just take the hotel cab. My wife and I also took a tour to see mumbai on a non A/C bus for only 400 rupees and they pick you up at the hotel in the morning and drop you off in the evening. Staff at the reception desk gave us plenty of smiles and room service gave us clean towels, soap, and toilet paper everyday which was great!
Cons: BEDBUGS in room 102!, Dirty countertops, furniture, bathroom wasn't bad but no running hot water! I almost got electrocuted in room 102 by touching a knob on the geyser good thing I had slippers on or else I would be dead. So don't touch that thing and call the reception desk if your hot water is not coming. Room service will knock and try to open your door without being invited in. So if you don't want people barging in on you and your spouse then I suggest you keep your door locked!
This hotel is pretty good and worth the money due to its location and comfortable bed, TV and air con. Overall it does look nice but don't expect it to be in excellent condition as the photos suggest - peeling paint and cracks have not been fixed up even though they looked easy to mend! Nevertheless, it was reasonably priced and felt like luxury after travelling the rest of India. The staff seemed helpful and nice. The internet didn't work the entire time we were there.
Pocket Guide: Mumbai Fort - Churchgate - CST Hotels
The Fort area is the central point of Mumbai. It was here that the commercial and administrative activities were largely concentrated in the past. Even today some of the main financial and other offices are lodged in this area. Churchgate area is in close proximity to Nariman Point, one of the most developed areas in Mumbai. Churchgate gets its name from the famed Churchgate Railway Station. Horniman Circle is the main focus of the Fort area. The Gothic and Victorian buildings in the Fort area highlight the history of the British Empire. Town Hall, an imposing neo-classical construction is located overlooking the Horniman Circle. Those with an interest in Indian art will want to visit the Jehangir Art Gallery, a well-known exhibition space in Mumbai, next to the Prince of Wales Museum. Other prominent landmarks include the Flora Fountain, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (previously Victoria Terminus), the Municipal Corporation building, and the University of Mumbai with the Rajabai Clock tower.
