"The lodge is beautiful in very peaceful area, it was very clean with everything we needed. We used it mainly for a base as we were traveling so only really slept there. The lodge is situated between 2 other properties and would benefit ( I’m my opinion) with blinds on all lower windows. The bed is very comfortable but a bit on the narrow side. "Driving up hotel is very impressive, lovely lawns, boar and deer statues scattered around and 2 wolfhounds guarding entrance Our hotel room and bathroom were massive with lovely views. Food was not available but staff would help you order in from local takeaway restaurants a d would supply crockery and cutlery. Limited menu in evening but was of excellent flavour and presentation. Beautiful lounge to relax in with some information about history of family who had owned it. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially VJ. Would highly recommend a stay here, too many of theses lovely country houses have disappeared."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Mansion House. It is within walking distance of all the sites in Elgin plus has very accessible parking. The surrounding walks and neighboring river made me feel like a character in a Jane Austin novel. Iona, Billy and all the staff made us feel like family. We even learned how to play snooker. Breakfast couldn’t have been better or more convenient. Will definitely try to return every time we go to Scotland!!!"
