Ca'n Ferru. Old house renovated in Biniaraix overlooking the valley

"Le logement était très beau et agréable, plus joli que sur les photos. L’hôte Pedro nous a bien reçu en physique et n’était jamais loin si besoin. Très bon séjour dans cet hébergement. Seul point négatif, n’hésitez pas à demander ce qu’il reste ou non dans le logement quand vous arrivez car il peut manquer des essentiels à racheter, important à savoir en arrivant !Je recommande !"

"Overall, a nice place to stay directly in old town Soller, but it fell short of my expectations from the glowing reviews. It's advertised as a 5-star hotel, but that was not our experience at all. I will start with our room, which was located in the annex. The room paralleled a college dorm with Ikea-quality furniture, white walls that were all scuffed up, closet and mini-fridge doors that needed to be lifted up first in order to be closed/moved, issues with Wi-Fi connection, and a rock hard mattress with unsupportive pillows. It was a non-smoking room, but the faint smell of cigarettes lingered each time we walked into the room (which made me wonder if the room directly adjacent was a smoking room given that I saw an ashtray on their balcony). Staff was overall incredibly pleasant and kind! At check-in, however, we were not offered any help with our luggage or the car and were given improperly programmed room keycards. As for hotel parking, it's limited and there is no valet system, so spots can be blocked if guests themselves do not park with consideration of others...Btw, if you are driving here, please be aware that only permitted vehicles are allowed to drive within old town limits. As hotel guests, we were told we had permission to drive in town and are exempt from any police fines (just needed to give the hotel a copy of our rental car contract). The rooftop pool was the perfect reprieve from the heat with stunning mountain views. Breakfast buffet was ok."

"Très belle maison de caractère. Spacieuse, confortable et bien équipée. Terrasse couverte avec barbecue très agréable pour les soirées. Environnement très calme et reposant. Mais attention, la maison est isolée. 20 mns de route avant premiers commerces, bars, restos et 25 mns des plages. Attendez vous également à partager la propriété avec un troupeau de brebis. Ça peut être sympa avec des enfants. Bon contact avec les propriétaires."

"Very clean and spacious property with gorgeous view. Pros: Kitchen was well stocked, water pressure was excellent. Wifi was effective. Having Laundry was nice. Close to downtown soller, fornalutx and accessible to port de soller. Cons: Parking is a bit of a struggle 5 minutes up the road and you have to park extremely close to the walls- european roads are narrow. Arrived in summer during peak of heat wave, AC is only downstairs FYI not in bedrooms, so it was very hot to sleep and I ended up sleeping downstairs on the floor. Due to climate change I would consider installing more units upstairs. Pedro does NOT speak English and primarily French, we found the check in process to be a bit arduous because of this, as well as the need for us as guests to calculate the energy usage which I found to be lengthy and confusingIn my opinion, he should just include the energy charge in the total cost of the stay or include an all-inclusive surcharge on guests that consume excess/above the normal range of energy. Apartment could have used a binder/guide for smoother check in and check out. Overall, a beautiful traditional house to stay in."

"Location is amazing for peace, tranquility, and beauty. You should know before going that you need to walk to Soller or Fornalutx for necessities (it is a beautiful walk but can be intense in the heat each day unless you have a car). Moreover, the breakfast and staff here were wonderful + comfy beds and great showers. I highly recommend."
