The Greek island of Folegandros in the Southern Cyclades is beautiful and unspoilt, perfect for soaking up the authentic culture and traditions of Greece. Sandy beaches, a variety of attractions and an excellent choice of accommodation make this a great place to visit.
Folegandros Island is named after the son of the Cretan King Minos. Its main town to the east reaches to the edge of the sea cliffs of Chora. Whitewashed houses in typical Cycladic style, cobbled alleys and quiet squares make this a delightful spot to visit.

From the port of Karavostasi, take a boat trip for some snorkelling and diving at the beautiful Katergo beach, where you can also explore Georgitsi’s cave.
There are plenty of hiking routes around Folegandros. One of the main paths crosses the island between dry stone walls from Ano Meria towards Agkali.
