Relaxing scenic and not an English voice
We stayed at the hotel Gusmay le dune for 8 nights. Hotel is set in a beautiful estate. Beach is a lovely sandy vibe and hotel sits in own ground with good pool. It appears that the resort is being brought up to date with reconditioning of beach cafes and restaurants. Food in these was average which let the resort down. Equally the restaurant in the main hotel was closed so meals were taken in the resort rotunda (breakfast good) which was a little strange in its ambience and setting. Staff were helpful but Very little English is spoken. Surrounding areas scenic and enough restaurants in the area to make up for the average food on site. Good fresh pasta and fish. Vieste a lovely town to visit. Room was excellent a junior suite on top floor. Great double shower bathroom spacious living dressing room and large bedroom and balcony with views across pool and downtown the sea. It is twinned with an apartment complex with kids and adult activities through the day. Enjoyed the relaxation of the resort but wouldn’t rush back for the food

extremely disappointing - 500 yrd+ walk for restaurant and beach. Only people there. hotel not properly open. Not what we booked. wording of 'Suite" changed. Left after 2 nights to go to a nice hotel.

Great location with private beach
Room was very modern and clean - a refreshing from the usual 'resort' styled rooms you might find in the area. Going to the beach is also a breeze - there is a buggy service to take you right to the private area where you can relax in a gazebo or the included lounge chairs and umbrellas. All included rate was great!

Fail from the check in!
Four staff at the reception managed to look good but that was about it. I got one 'Welcome', the others managed to ignore me. It then took more than 30 mins to finish my check in! And it wasn't busy! They couldn't find my Hotels.com reservation, than wanted to charge my CC again even though everything was prepaid! Lots of arguments, me not happy! Only the trainee behind the front desk seemed to care for me, at some point you could see she was quite uncomfortable with her help/useless supervisor... The room was clean and freshly renovated. But watch out, if you don't book a Suite you will not be anywhere near the waterfront, the photos are very misleading! There is another building in the back of the photograph, the hotel Gusmay, this is where the Dune standard rooms are!!! Walk to the restaurants or the beach around 500m. The rooms are not well insulated you'll hear all the romantic encounters coming from left, right and above... Have a nice stay!

Dear mr Leif Thanks for your review. We will try to improve our welcome service and reception. But we want emphasize that to arrive at the beach (far only 400 metres from your room) we have our golf car service. Also we have suite in the Hotel Dune (ex Gusmay in historic area) and suite superior near the beach. In fact the pictures and description are exactly as reported in our website and in the site of the operator with whom you have booked

Achtung Betrug!!!!
In der Anlage gibt es zwei Hotels: ein 5 Sterne Hotel (le dune) und ein 4 Sterne Hotel (cala del turco). Obwohl ich für das 5-Sterne Hotel gebucht und bezahlt hatte, wurde ich im billigeren 4-Sterne Hotel im rustikal anmutenden, muffig riechenden Untergeschoss untergebracht. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht. Als ich dieses am späten Abend, als ich es gemerkt hatte, reklamierte, wurde mir gesagt, ich solle bis nächsten Tag warten, dann würde sich jemand die Klimaanlage anschauen. Ein anderes Zimmer wollten sie mir auch nicht geben, da angeblich alles belegt sei. Erst als ich massiven Druck ausgeübt hatte, erhielten wir mitten in der Nacht ein anderes Zimmer (dieses Mal tatsächlich im 5-Sterne Hotel). Achtung: Die Namen der Hotels sind außen nicht angegeben - man kann es am Anhänger der Schlüssel und natürlich an der Ausstattung erkennen. Über diese schlechte Erfahrung hat uns das leckere Frühstück und der tolle Strand etwas hinweg geholfen.

Le séjour au Dune.
Très bonne prestation, de la chambre au restaurant. Deux bémols cependant : l’accès à l’établissement est très mal flêché , il serait plus simple de donner les coordonnées GPS et le personnel ne fait que très peu d’éfforts pour communiquer en Français, mais ça, c’est partout en Italie, dommage, car nous sommes quand même frontaliers !

Suggerisco le beach suite poiche' le stanze in hotel sono deludenti. Il personale del ricevimento e soprattutto del ristorante gentile e disponibile il bagnino invece non gentile ne' disponibile Il cibo al ristorante non buono il cibo del room service buono ,semplice ma estremamente costoso Nel complesso prezzi troppo alti per il servizio reso.

Perfetto posto per giorni di relax.
Resort immerso nel verde a metà strada tra Peschici e Vieste. Dotato di una spiaggia privata in un caletta da sogno! Mare super!!! Tranquillità assoluta. Per una pausa dal caos cittadino consigliatissimo!

Ho soggiornato con la mia famiglia dal 7 al 14 luglio in mezza pensione alle Dune.La location e' bellissima con grandi spazi verdi ,due piscine ,due ristoranti ,di cui uno sul mare,una griglieria sul mare con prezzi esagerati, ottima colazione e i pasti,spiaggia bella e pulita,personale del ristorante e i ragazzi delle golf-car gentili.Bravi e non invadenti i ragazzi dell'animazione. La SPA rilassante ben curata con un plauso particolare a Cinzia brava , preparata con i suoi unguenti e decotti,che fa il suo lavoro con grande passione.... In tutto questo pero' ci sono diverse note stonate:per essere un 5 stelle i servizi offerti dovrebbero essere il top ma non è cosi' : la sera finita la ristorazione tipo alle 21.30 tutto tace quindi o sei costretto a prendere la macchina e uscire o andare in camera a guardare la TV;il wi-fi nonostante abbiano tentato di potenziarlo dopo diverse richieste e' praticamente inesistente;il villaggio dovrebbe essere meglio illuminato considerando che per tornare nel mio alloggio la sera ho dovuto accendere la torcia del telefonino.Credo che si pecchi nella gestione dei servizi, il luogo e' sfruttato al 50%

Ma quale 5 stelle!!!!!
Se cercate lusso ed eleganza NON ANDATE in questo villaggio... si villaggio perché di hotel non ha niente! Ci hanno dato un “tugurio” non una stanza... tipo camping!! Si presenta bene all’esterno (hanno ristrutturato la hall che si vede dalle foto.. forse appositamente!) poi il nulla!!! Dal benvenuto con bicchieri da cucina degli anni 30 con coca cola, alla Spa dove si entra su prenotazione in gruppi da otto perché non c’è spazio è solo per 45 minuti contati e controllati!!! per non parlare che in tre giorni non hanno mai alzato la temperatura dellidromassaggio nonostante il freddo ( non si riusciva a stare) e le richieste continue... ne’ mai sistemata la cascata che non ha mai funzionato come alcuni getti in acqua... ma la presenza di un paio di animali morti a bordo vasca ci ha fatto compagnia tutti e tre i giorni.. come le formiche in bagno sugli asciugamani e nelle docce!!! Per spostarsi ed andare al mare autoveicoli che ti accompagnavano solo ad orari prestabiliti. Spiaggia privata? Poca pulizia e schiuma ovunque nel ma dicono che è un golfo e non c’è “ricircolo “!!! A giugno ristorante sul mare chiuso e ombrelloni non assegnati (dove chi arriva prima prende.) mentre il bagnino vernicia con la puzza sulla spiaggia ... se piove sei rovinato!! A colazione le ciotole di vetro sugli tavolo per raccogliere acqua che entra dal tetto (nuovo) sembra!!! Personale molto molto giovane disponibile ma impreparato .. insomma tutto al risparmio!! Le tasse obbl. PAGall’arrivo!!!NOOOO

Nice property in the nature with a beautiful beach. The facilities are, however, old and not well maintained. No 5* standard by any means. The wifi connection was very poor.

Il soggiorno é stato molto piacevole, la pulizia eccellente, un ottima colazione inclusa. Devo dare un unica nota negativa in quanto il WiFii non prendeva in camera, cosa fondamentale in quanto la rete non prendeva!! Mi ha creato abbastanza disagio per comunicare. Per il resto bellissimo hotel, comodo servizio navetta che ti porta in giro gratuitamente per l'hotel. Spa piccolina ma rilassante, tutto il personale é stato molto cordiale. La posizione é comoda (in macchina) sia per Peschici che Vieste e vicina a ristoranti e supermercati.

Esperienza piacevole
Siamo stati tre giorni al Resort le Dune. Il personale e è molto gentile e la colazione ottima, sia dolce che salata. Il ristorante bar in spiaggia è molto caro e non offre molto.

Complesso alberghiero con stupenda spiaggia
L'hotel è in realtà un grande complesso alberghiero, dall'architettura molto particolare. Ho apprezzato il fatto che non ci fossero scale ma rampe. Stupenda la posizione, con spiaggia privata su baia naturale nel golfo del Gargano, bellissima. Buon confort, ma difficile a volte la connessione Internet e molto scarsa la scelta di canali TV. La palestra è piccola e con solo tre o quattro macchine, ma c'è. Possibilità di scegliere fra due ristoranti ottimi e di fare una piccola pre-colazione e una colazione eccellente a buffet. Servizio di navetta per spostarsi dentro il complesso. Due piscine.

Potential der Lage und des Hauses nicht genutzt
Das Hotel besteht aus 2 Teilen, Haupthaus am Hang (ca. 400 Meter zum Strand) offenbar neu und modern und Dependance in Strandnähe älteren Datums aber o.k.. Zwischen beiden Teilen ist ein anderes Hotel (6 2-stöckige Pavillons für mehrere Wohneinheiten) wohl eher für Familienurlaube gebaut. Der Pool dieser Einrichtung und auch ein Pool am Haupthaus sollen wohl genutzt werden können. Wir hatten eine Suite am Strand gebucht, wurden aber zunächst in einer Suite im Haupthaus eingecheckt. Die Suite machte auf den ersten Blick einen sehr komfortablen Eindruck, entsprach aber nicht unserer Präferenz. Nach einer im Ganzen freundlichen Diskussion erhielten wir die Suite am Strand. Frühstück (und andere Mahlzeiten) gab in einer großen Strandhütte mit Terrasse. Am Strand gibt es offenbar 3 Kategorien von Gästen: Bali-Betten für 5 Sterne Gäste (die wir an sich sein sollten aber dann doch nicht waren - warum auch immer), Sonnenschirm und Liegestühle für andere La Dune-Gäste (nicht eng gestellt und in Ordnung) und Gleiches im Anschluss in anderer Farbe. Der Privatstrand in der kleinen Bucht war alles andere als überlaufen, es war sehr ruhig und angenehm. Der Strand läuft flach ins Meer. Ob im Haupthaus neben Spa überhaupt etwas angeboten wird, wurde uns nicht klar. Bar und Restaurant sind zwar baulich vorhanden, werden offenbar nicht für Gäste genutzt. Frühstück an sich in Ordnung, Rührei kalt und wässrig, Omelette werden nicht angeboten.

Miscellanea di hotel 5 e 4 stelle con suite e clientela differente. Ristorante del 5 stelle chiuso, sopperiva quello del 4 stelle sul mare a circa 1300 mt. Servizio navetta scarso ed inadeguato. I clienti 5 stelle venivano posizionati in una zona ingresso ove transitava la restante clientela. La reception non aveva informato la sala ristorante dei clienti 5 stelle arrivati, che venivano indirizzati nella zona 4 Stelle e dei gruppi con una colazione tristissima. Dopo aver fatto presente hanno prontamente rimediato. La reception non è stata in grado di ottenere un biglietto a pagamento x le isole Tremiti, etc. Complessivamente disorganizzato.

Das Hotel ist in einer s. schönen Bucht, die Zimmer sind unterschiedlich zBs. sehr schön ist Zimmer Nr. 23 und gross, was bei Nr. 25 nicht der fall ist (für den gleichen Preis oder sogar teurer). Frühstück ist ok nichts spezielles, wenig Brot Sorten und viel süsses. Peschici ist sehr schön und hat viele Touristen.
