Wonderful getaway

Posted 05-Feb-2016
Pros: Extremely comfortable, spacious, and well maintained.
Cons: There should be a spa location so that the massage therapist does not have to come to the unit.
Location: We enjoyed many of the area nature destinations. My husband had stone crabs for 3 of 6 dinners and loved every one.
We booked a short getaway at the last minute and were very pleased to find such a special place. Our unit overlooked the water as did most of the units. The restaurant was amazing and the staff was wonderful. The unit was very well kept. There are very good restaurants close by as well as interesting destinations-especially nature preserves. I hope we can come back again.

water view from everywhere

Posted 31-Jan-2016
Pros: relaxing but staff are very responsive, dining room was very nice, food great, service great
food was great, staff was great, cottages are clean, modern, perfect layout, TV's in every room...but beachy and relaxing at the same time...will go back again (and again, and again). Location is perfect (45 minutes to Largo to the north, 45 minutes to key west)

Pros: Bra boenden.
Cons: Ta ner träd runt boenden och även runt poolen för att ge mer sol. Restaurangen var overprized för vad man fick - inga innovationer.
Nära till Key West. Bra avkoppling runt poolen. Dock inget bra att bada i havet.

A great stay

Posted 10-Jan-2016
Pros: Staff, onsite restaurant, grounds.
Location: The Turtle Hospital is right next door - they have a great tour - don't miss it. We rented bikes from Overseas Outfitters - excellent service.
After a very busy start to our vacation, Tranquility Bay was intended to be a relaxing stay. This is exactly what we needed and what we received. The grounds are beautiful and the property is well maintained. It was the nicest pool I saw in the Keys. Great Tiki Bar and the food is good too. All of the staff is very helpful and courteous. My family met Jasmyn (manager) on the grounds and she is so nice and genuinely cared about our stay. We did manage to get to the Turtle Hospital (next door) and rent bikes to ride over the Old Seven Mile Bridge (close by). Other than that, it was pure relaxation. We ate at the onsite Butterfly Café and it was excellent. Our waitress was great.

Disappointing

Posted 29-Dec-2015
Rooms are just OK. Staff barely friendly. Was expecting more for the price and advertised standing. Most rooms are not waterview although advertised as such. When I raised the concern, staff told me to deal with Expedia directly. Overall, do not expect high standing but more of regular rooms and service for a still premium price.

Great Family Hotel in the Keys

Posted 26-Dec-2015
Pros: Beach, water sports, 2 pools, putting area, condo living
Location: next to Turtle hospital. Aquarium Encounters is terrific, do the snorkeling. Dolphin research center Restaurants: Burdines; Key Fisheries,
Tranquility Bay is mostly 2 and 3 bedroom two story condos either with a full or a partial water view. The units are narrow as our grandson said but has all the amenities of home: full kitchen, dining area, living area, 2 porches with a half bath on the main level. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. But all the amenities make Tranquility a delight to visit. There are 2 large pools - one for families and the other a tranquility pool for adults. The resort has a beach for swimming and a large area of sand and grass for lounging and for water sports. There is a putting area which is well done. A Tiki bar is on the beach serving simple food all day. A gourmet restaurant named Butterfly Café is excellent. Staff is very good. We had housecleaning everyday to straighten the beds, empty the trash, replace the towels if desired, and sweep the floor of the sand.

Excellent place to stay from check-in to check-out

Top-notch staff, beach, swimming pools, and facilities. Our room design and layout was like a beach home. Honestly, one of the best places that I have ever stayed at when I have been on a vacation.
