Amazing place to celebrate 20 years of marriage.

Pros: The overall spacious, relaxing atmosphere. Serene and beautiful resort!
Cons: The master bath was super tiny. Otherwise I wouldnt change a thing! Wish I stayed here linger rather than head to Key West!
Location: Met a friend at the King Fishery/ Honky Conch- great stone crab, sunset toast with a free shot, great music.
Best place we stayed in the Keys out of 3 hotels. Loved the two story suite. Great views atmosphere. Every staff member was super pleasant. Evey detail was perfect.

Tranquility Bay

Pricey Resort. Very nicely kept, except the whole time we were there, the beach had sea grass, making it somewhat unseeable. Rooms were beautiful and oversized. There is a resort fee on top of room fee. When I asked what it covered, I was was told it covered towel and such. It took 3 requests over 2 days to get an ice bucket. (Apparently the ice bucket is not covered in the resort fee). The last time we asked they said they had none left and suggest we go buy one at the Tom Thumb across the street. Which I left for the resort fee of what?-$27, he should have gone and got me one! Then we ended up with two right before we left. The food at the Resturant was also pricey , but well worth it. My daughter who was with me, and I felt it was the best meal we ever had. She had the Pork chops and I had the scallops. We had drinks and deserts and coffees and the total was over $170, but it was worth every penny. Nicole, our waitress was so nice and helpful and made us feel we were her only priority. Cannot speak highly enough about the service she gave us. We did not use any of the spa services, but felt it would be nice if hair, nail and pedicure services were offered. Also I like to be able to get a brochure on the services and restaurants in the area and when I ask for a bus schedule to Key West, they were out of the local bus schedule.

Nice resort

Posted 10-Jan-2017
Pros: The property itself.
Cons: The food was disappointing. The beach was more like a swamp - shallow and overtaken by seaweed.
Location: Marathon is a bit of a depressing town. It's nothing like Key West; just a succession of strip malls and gas stations. Sombrero Beach is lovely though
This is a lovely and picturesque resort with large suites, a great pool and great views.

Nice and comfortable beachsidehotel

Posted 01-Jan-2017
Pros: Nice surroundings, plenty of space, nice condition, friendly staff
Cons: Either upgrade the food in the restaurant or reduce the price.
Very nice hotel with a friendly staff. The price was ok and the surroundings were great. The only minus was the restaurantprices. They charged as is was a premiumrestaurant when it was very much more like an ordinary familyrestaurant with ok food but far from great.

Not a beach front it's water front

Nice and quite location, however if you're looking to be on the beach then you have to drive to the beach. The pictures of the beach are deceiving, some white sand and few chairs doesn't make it a real beach. Though the property looks well maintained the unit we were in had a lot of broken and moving floor tiles. The kitchen was ill equipped. The weirdest thing i found is you can't key in from the pouch doors if your going to the pool and if you lock the pouch door you have to walk around all the units to open your front door. Other than that its a nice place to stay for few days.

Beautiful

Checked in early and my room was ready:) (called ahead of time to advise I would be arriving), the room was fantastic.. The pools, grounds and bungalows were first class.. the beach area was great except the constant back hoe and workers raking up sea grass from the beach. The restaurant was also great but a little to pricey, never saw many customers and I was sure that was the reason. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Overall if you want a place to chill and recharge the batteries I would recommend this place.

My husband and I spent 5 days here and loved it! The resort was gorgeous and the waitstaff was awesome! Great food, and the grounds were maintained perfectly! It was never too noisy or crowded. We would love to check out the villas with extended family, they looked beautiful! We also used the workout facility, which was ok, but a bit cramped.

nice bilevel rooms, downstairs/upstairs

Posted 14-Dec-2016
Pros: most of the amenities were very nice.
Cons: label the walkways better, whenever I went to beach, got lost on way back to room.
Location: nice area
nice dual level rooms, nice views of the beach from room balcony
