Staff, parking, amenities, cleanliness, size, all very unwelcoming. The pictures shown was not the “resort” we arrived at. We learned a lesson, we now know where NOT to stay in Key Largo. We found some amazing resorts in the same area. The Seafarer a mile down the road, same thing we were looking for at Pelican, exact opposite in every other way. PERFECT

A very nice, quaint property. They have nice docks and a private beach. I have a few nice covered patios, and the entire property is beautifully landscaped.

Beach access was about the only good thing. Otherwise pictures are deceiving. The room I rented was smaller than a jail cell. For way too much money.234$ to be exact shower was bigger then the room I don’t recommend staying there

We feel that it is important to point out that you reserved the smallest, most affordable unit type that we offer. The maximum occupancy of that type of unit is 2 adults. However, you chose to arrive the property with 4 people and became upset when we did not allow you to put us over capacity.

The property was beautiful with it's own private beach and multiple docks. Our room was small, but nicely appointed and clean. We had a great location with walkability to numerous bars and restaurants as well as free parking for our vehicle. Sunset was spectacular everyday. We will definitely visit again!

We stayed here just for 1 night during a recent trip to Florida. It was very nice and it suited our needs perfectly.. we stayed in the cottage right on the beach area. Walked out the back door to a lovely little area with lounging and a BBQ pit. Restaurants were very close and the vibes were great. Would recommend.

Very retro, quiet & staff is great! Only complaint was folks staying above us walked about seemingly all hours of the night. Free kayaks were great!! Eat at both Mrs. Mac's!!

My wife and only stayed one night as a stopover for our vacation in the middle keys. But was really impressed with the property. The gulfside beach and docks were perfect for kids or grandkids. We will bring our boat next time make this our destination.

Very small rooms. We got a room for 2. Bed was small. Just bigger than a twin. No room for your luggage. No closet or drawers either. No furniture accept for the bed. Few outlets. Very loud AC. The office and all the stores close early so if you are out or forgot something you are out of luck. The door lock looked like it could easily be broken into. The property next door looked cleaner.

You booked an economy (small) unit which is the smallest in our inventory. It has a full size bed and the most budget friendly option. The square footage of the unit is clearly stated on the Expedia website. Our office closes at 9:30 pm and our after hours contact information is posted by the office door.

The one day we had to enjoy the beach there, they had very large, noisy landscape equipment in use to trim palm trees. There was no acknowledgement from the staff of how disturbing this was.

What a beautiful oasis! Several spaces to relax, very well planned out. Comfy chairs abound! Loved the kayaks, easy to check out. Saw manatee while kayaking. Great restaurants within walking distance. Once you arrive you can lock the vehicle and just relax!

Pros..This place is in a great location on the water with nearby walkable restaurants. The room was clean. The front office people very friendly. Cons..Stayed in a 2 queen room. The room was too small for two beds - both beds were up against the walls with a small table in between. The ac unit was Extremely Loud. The bathroom was tiny. Overall not a bad place for one night. The Loud ac would keep me from staying longer

We will definitely stay again. If you’re looking for uppity five star accommodations this is not for you. If you are looking for a clean comfortable homey place to stay with a great staff this is your place. Super friendly and super easy check in. Old school water side cottages and we loved them. Accommodations were clean and well appointed. Super close to multiple restaurants and bars. Great stay at Pelican!!

The place is pretty run down, front desk people were rude. You have to buy ice for your room, They say you cn use the kayaks but me had to pretty much force them to let us use them. Way over priced for what you stay in. $600 later, it was kind of a joke

Great sea front setting close to some reasonable bars and restaurants with music. However, the room that we had was run down with broken blinds and leaking bathroom with ac as loud as a jet engine so would be unbearable if running at night.

Save your money! Sleep in your car!
First, I only leave reviews if completely awful or outstanding. This was a bait and switch. The photos are very misleading. I was booking for 1 night on the way to Key West. They told me that I booked a single bed economy. (Id say SUB economy at best) They also told me the room was 50 sq ft total! I couldn't find the door to the room. Then the room had a double bed stuck in the corner and only 2 feet between the bed and the wall on the other 2 sides the bathroom was equally small. I would have NEVER knowingly booked a room this small. As I stated earlier, this was a complete bait and switch. I checked out 15 mins later and drove down the road. Do yourself a favor, save your + $200.00 (yes, really) and sleep in your car. You'll have more room .
