Nice hotel, nice view but limited beach access.

Posted 23-Sep-2016
Pros: Probably the nicest spot on the island for view and ease of access to the limited beach area. Hotel was clean, rooms were nicely kept.
Cons: Need handicap accessible to the second floor, seems odd there is none. A pool by the south side restaurant would help that end of the hotel and bar
Location: Duval street - interesting once! Nice to walk around the island on the outer rim away from Duval street.
Limited beach access disappointing. Restaurant at south end of hotel is nice but way to hot to enjoy and not able to enjoy the small beach area as there is no water access and far to hot to sit in the sun. We were disappointed about the 'additional resort fee'. Our fault, we did not read the fine print so weren't expecting it but even with that, it seems most everything on the list for additional fee should be included. EX: Towels at the pool are extra, seems excessive. our air conditioning unit was so loud it kept us up for two nights.

Close to "beach"

Posted 23-Sep-2016
Hotel has a beach....if that's what you want to call it. As a place that refers to itself as a resort...they have a lot to learn. Not once during our stay did they bother to clean up the beach....seaweed and foul smells are abundant. If you want a beach and real resort I would highly recommend a different place...casa marina is only a couple dollars more and it is light years ahead as a true resort. I would consider the southernmost resort more of a motel than a resort. We have stayed in 4-5 star resorts all over the world and this in no way is worthy of that type of rating like depicted online. Make sure if you stay there that you ask which complex you will be in...there's one by the ocean and one across the street.

Pros: Location
Cons: Sorry to say but some who smoke on their balconies which are clearly marked not to made early morning balcony sitting unbearable.
Location: Good for all Key West has to offer ask the concierge.
Reasonable rates with helpful hotel staff, concierge very helpful for arrangements,

Great hotel.Great location!

Posted 20-Sep-2016
Pros: Location and staff
The staff is great! Hats off to everyone we encountered, and as travelers, that is so very important. The grounds are nicely maintained as well, they were always doing something. Our room, in building B, was great with a modern bathroom and a nicely done shower. We got an upgrade to a balcony view of the ocean which was really a pleasant surprise. The pool close to our building was great, as were the bartenders at the bar there. The location is nice and quiet, away from the Duval St madness, we walked to both, Sloppy Joe"s (about 30 mins) and Mallory Square, its a bit tough in the heat, we just made many stops along the way to cool down. Just a couple of issues for us, the beds were very hard, we found it difficult to get comfortable, also very flat pillows, maybe offer more then one type, as do other places, also could not really get the Wi-FI to work. Minor gripes there to be sure. Overall, very nice place!

Perfect stay

Posted 14-Sep-2016
Quiet area of Key West. The serenity pool was so relaxing. The hotel beach was a small area. Did not like the $20.00 daily parking fee nor the $30.00 daily resort fee. Other than that the rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Our family enjoyed the stay in this hotel.

First Visit Here

Posted 13-Sep-2016
Pros: The staff was all very helpful and friendly (well trained). The cleaning staff did a great job every day.
Cons: More variety of food choices/pricing should be wider-cheaper, moderate and expensive options.
Location: Must dos-Hemingway House, Butterfly and Nature Conservatory, Dry Tortugas Trip
This hotel is on the beach-but the beach is very small however. There is a restaurant right on the beach with good food and good service. The prices are high (as in everywhere in Key West) but breakfast, lunch and dinner was all very good. The room (ocean view with balcony) was nice, clean and modern, the view wasn't the best-it was a distant sliver of ocean. The amenities were nice as well.
