When I typically book my reservation on Expedia, everything is paid for before my arrival, but in this case it wasn't. One of the two nights was paid for, but not entirely. When we arrived at the hotel at 330P our room wasn't ready. By 400P it was. The place was empty and there was no excuse for that. And upon checking in, apparently the recreation fees and parking were not on the original reservation so they charged us an additional $40 plus dollars for the first night that I thought I paid for, and then charged us the second night and the recreation fees and parking for the second night. Not cool! Buyer beware!
When I went to the tennis courts, there was a sign on the door that said the tennis shop would be closed Sunday and Monday, (just my luck) and when we were leaving the Tennis Pro, apologized but said that the weekend was a slow one and she took off a couple of days. Also not cool! So what was the recreation fee for if the reason I was down there was to play some tennis and other things. This resort was chosen because of the tennis program.
We enjoyed the Sunset Cruise (of course an extra charge). And the Dolphin experience was also worthwhile ( if you like that sort of thing).
I still was surprised how empty the place was. (which was a good thing) Except for the immediate reception surprise, all the staff were friendly and accommodating.
