Great place for families with children all ages. Service and food are excellent but price $$$$ great location at the entrance of Ducky Key

Hotel lagoon is nice, pools and restaurants are nice. Ava with housekeeping was wonderful. Great hotel just a little pricey on food and drinks. Would recommend bringing your own cup and grab stuff on the way down. Overall great location and hotel

Friendly staff, safe and clean hotel and pool areas. What a great, family friendly adventure!!! We will certainly return.

Nice place to take children

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for the first time. It is a very nice hotel. We are older and didn't realize there would be so many children and families. It would be perfect for our kids to take our grandchildren because of all of the fun activities they have planned each day. We were very happy that they had an adults only pool and bar as well. I was surprised that you couldn't hear the noise from the large family pool area. I would recommend this for anyone. Very nice place.

Clean resort with lots of activities.

Cons: The price was a little expensive for not having beach access.
This resort was very clean. There were lots of activities to participate in including jet skiing, parasailing, kayaking, etc. There was also several nice pools and a salt water lagoon. The only thing I didn't like is that it didn't actually have beach access.

Great, family-friendly resort

Pros: Everything....clean rooms and A/C worked great; nice pools.
Location: We drove to Key West and spent the day there shopping and sight-seeing.
we have stayed here several times in past few years. we love this resort; love the pool (always had a lounge chair available); and the staff are very nice. Bellman always open the door for you when you return to the resort out front. The rooms are nicely done. Very clean w/comfy beds and a large bathroom. Lots of space and places to hang things up to dry in bathroom. Nice sized closet also. They have activities for kids and adults. They play games at the pool during the day for the kids and adults too (i.e. lip sync, etc...); if you want peace & quiet there are other pools on the property for that as well. There is a lagoon for swimming and playing. You can rent Kayaks and Paddleboards to use on the lagoon. There is a dolphin program onsite (we didn't do it but looks fun). There is also a watersports facility located on the property. You can go dive, snorkel, rent jet skis, etc..... It is a very beautiful property. We will continue to go to Hawks Cay!

Return to hawks cay

I have very mixed reviews about our recent trip to Hawks Cay. We checked into the hotel at 11 at night and found our room filthy. There was trash in the drawers and urine in the toilet. We then waited an hour for linens on the pull out. My greatest disappointment was in finding that their boat ramp closes every day at 6 o'clock. When I asked if there were any public ramps the attendant was very rude and said he didn't know and couldn't help me. The site remains beautiful and the activities for kids are outstanding. it felt like compared to our last day at the resort had gone down a little bit. There were many adult yes possibly due to the Fourth of July weekend that used foul language throughout the facility even in front of children, not that this is the resorts fault at all.

Room was excellent for the entire family but the pool was really gross. Very cloudy, too many people in the resort pool.

Meh....

Check in extremely slow. One enough staff to accommodate flux of guests. Staff new to the English language and VERY hard to understand. Rooms nice and clean. Not enough chairs for all the guests. For a $50 resort fee I expect a chair near some body of water. Hotel needs to address this issue. Ok stay - will not return. Not worth the price.
