Our room was beautiful - oceanfront & had a great balcony. The staff was unfortunately very hit or miss- most seemed bothered to help you & were not at all friendly or attentive. Could be a fabulous experience with better service levels, which is what is expected at a resort like Cheeca. At checkout the woman didn’t bother to ask about our stay or say thank you for joining us- just handed us our statement with no greeting… leaves a bad impression.

The grounds to the property are very well kept and beautiful. Rooms could use a little updating but very clean and well kept. The main issue is that there is no entertainment day or night. No music or engagement. The recommendation received if wanting entertainment was to go outside of the property.

We loved the beach and all of the facilities! It was so easy to park under our room with the golf course view. The property is gorgeous and well maintained. Also, Spa Island was so pretty and relaxing as well as the waterfall grotto pool and jacuzzi near our room. Loved the adult pool too! Daydrian was so pleasant and helpful at check in. Jordan at the inside bar was master of tasty cocktails and super friendly! We used the shuttle for nearby restaurants which was timely and convenient. We also walked to some nearby shopping and favorite lunch spots!

Beautiful resort and pretty grounds. The hotel itself exceeded my expectations. The staff was attentive for the most part and service was very good. The only issues we had were not enough seating near the pool and beach. We were there at spring break which i know is a crowded time but i felt the property could have done more to insure every guest was able to enjoy the amenities. Overall a very nice resort if you have high expectations and like to be pampered.

Cheeca Lodge is well known and a solid destination. The ocean facing room was lovely but needed some updating- and the pull out sofa bed (“room sleeps 4”) was excruciatingly uncomfortable compared to many we have seen. The food at the waterside restaurant was sub-par and we ate offsite every night after the first. Staff were great. It’s a beautiful location and that’s what you are paying for here.

Beautiful well maintained grounds. They should consider moving kids area to the pool away from the view/cabana bars or at least limiting floaties and screaming children to one pool. Bathroom facilities on common grounds were poorly maintained (no paper/towels etc) and trash near rocks/beach not picked up. One bartender on our first night was the most miserable person i have ever encountered. Would stay again but they can do WAY better - much potential.

This is a great location in the Keys. The accommodations are nice and there is a lot to do here. Take a boat out to the sandbar, play pickle ball or fish. The park 3 needs attention. They have bikes you can use too. The three restaurants are excellent. Pools are nice and you can find chairs.

We loved everything about this resort. Tons of activities to choose from. We enjoyed kayaking (twice), golf, and pickleball. There are too many options to list here. They had plenty of chairs on the beach and around the pools. It was busy buy not crowded. Helpful staff all around. The property was gated and felt very safe and the overall ambience was great. This area in Islamorada was also great as far as restaurant selection and a couple breweries with live music in the evenings. My only nitpick is that the drinks at the tiki bar were on the expensive side. But I suppose that's to be expected. All in all we would definitely recommend Cheeca!

Good location great grounds. Poor service. Dinner at restaurant in house was good. However service left a lot to be desired. Great at first but then disappeared. Same on all restaurants. Most of the help stuff hardly spoke English and was not accommodating on out of the ordinary requests. This place tries to be a 5 star (which is in price) but is a 3.5 at best

Definitely coming back - arrived stressed out from travel problems (should have been in the DR and not the Keys!) with 2 days to wait for a flight. Within 10 seconds of reaching registration I got schooled on how great the stay was going to be - I started to say “you have a reservation for…” and the lady at the desk said “wait! Do you want a glass of champagne and THEN we can take care of business?”. Seriously. The stress just melted. So glad we made the snap decision to book into Cheeca to wait out our flight delay rather than stay somewhere nearer MIA. The staff is incredible, the facility is awesome. Spend the money and get your a** in there!

The property is beautiful, but that beauty was diminished upon arrival. While our room was clean there were dirty room service tray right outside of our door, since they let us check in early, we figured it would be picked up soon, it was still there the next day and when we checked out at 11am it was still there. If you are hungry, I suggest going off-site. We waited 20 minutes at the Italian restaurant at the property without being greeted. As we looked around every table was full but nobody had any food. After the 20 minutes we were finally brought water, but still no menus. We decided to leave and get food elsewhere. Other than that it was nice. I would stay again but would rethink food choices.
