"Very comfortable and close to Duval."
Great location. No parking on premises. Found street parking. Beware of outlined parking marked "Permitted Parking" or "Residential Parking". Rentals can't be parked there overnight. You have to find a parking place that is bordered by paint on the street with no painting of "Residential Parking" or "Permitted Parking" on the pavement. Many parking places had letters painted that were not readable, but there was evidence that words were painted there at one time. Had to look for 30 minutes to find a place at 7:00 pm, but was able to find a place 2 blocks away. Staff was very friendly and I was very pleased with the spaciousness and layout of our room. A little pricy, but worth the money due to the location, pool and courtyard. We stayed on the second floor with a large sun deck that seemed to be all our own. I would recommend this hotel.

"Quiet B&B near Duval St and Mallory Square"
This was our second stay in the Poets Room. Very large with king bed, full kitchen, table and chairs, sitting area and private outdoor entrance. Only problems: could use a little TLC and parking can be a challenge at times.

"Wonderful B&B in great location"
We enjoyed everything about our stay at Ambrosia. We definitely will stay at Ambrosia again when we come back to Key West. Our trip was only for four days, so there is so much more to do and see. We look forward to coming back!

"Nice place to stay, convenient location."
Was there for the Key West Half Marathon. Was only there a few days, but the hotel was good. Parking included, continental breakfast, great waffles. Had no mini fridge, but they had coolers available. Ask about the history of the house, very interesting.

"Loved it"
Very nice B & B within walking distance to so many of our favorite stops in Key West. Quiet and very clean. Although the Hot Tub was outside of our bedroom door, other guests were consider and enjoyed themselves after our early arrival back to the room for the evening. Plan to stay with them again on future trips. Honor Bar had limited selection, but we made it work.

Pocket Guide: Bed and Breakfast Hotels in Florida Keys

Florida Keys B&Bs with a Personal Touch

If the dazzling resorts and big-brand hotels of Florida Keys feel too impersonal for you, stay in one of the region’s delightful bed and breakfasts instead. Key West city centre is home to many of the region’s B&Bs, which can be found occupying wood-panelled houses on the sleepy streets away from the coast.

Not only could you save money on a room at an inland bed and breakfast, but the more intimate atmosphere means you can mingle with other guests during your stay.

These cosier accommodation options in Key West often come with the added benefit of being exclusively for adults. Many B&Bs in Key West ensure that you can enjoy the outdoor pools, sun loungers and dining areas in peace.

Dining Out near your Key West B&B

Surrounded by the ocean, Florida Keys has an excellent selection of seafood to choose from. Work your way around Key West’s restaurants to experience some of the best dining in Florida. Local specialities include dishes made from stone crab and hogfish, harvested almost exclusively in the seas around the islands. Ending your meal with a slice of the region’s famed dessert, key lime pie, is almost compulsory.

If you’re just looking for a quick snack instead of a three-course meal, you could grab some delicious deep-fried conch fritters at a beach shack.

Adventures from your Florida Keys B&B

One of the best ways to see Florida Keys is by boat. Charter a private boat and sail around the edges of the islands for spectacular views of the Florida Keys and the Atlantic Ocean. With a private boat, you decide the plan. You might watch dolphins in the clear waters or spend an afternoon fishing for tarpon. Alternatively, bring along a snorkel and goggles, find your own secluded patch of coral reef and dive in to the spectacular underwater world.

To get under the skin of Florida Keys, stay in one of the region’s bed and breakfasts and explore the region at a leisurely pace.
