The property itself is quiet, surrounded by beautiful coastal vegetation, and securely fenced for your dogs. In the surrounding area, you'll have great options for crabbing, fishing, hiking, and visiting such Oregon Coast landmarks as the Sea Lion Caves and Heceta Head Lighthouse. Walk home from the beach in the afternoons to let your dogs play on the pebbly grounds, relax outside on the small front porch, or gather around the firepit to swap stories and ease the chill of the ocean waves. The home's interior is bright, open, and inviting. Get started on dinner in the well-equipped kitchen, sit down to eat at the two breakfast bars, and spend the evening hours watching DVDs from the movie library and playing board games in the living room. THINGS TO KNOW There is no washer/dryer. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Walking distance to beach was epic. Quick drive to Old Town and all major restaurants. Fred Myers close and convienient. Touring Sea Lion caves, beaching it at Haceta and visiting Old Town Florence was our one day adventures. Ohhhh, get ice cream and taffy at BJ’s. Easy to find location and super cozy house. The Fortress is just that!! We felt so safe and secure! We had a great relaxing time. The place is so private and secluded but yet surrounded by neighbors. It is close to everything in Florence. However, there was a very strong smell...cleaning or disinfecting products? We live two doors down and I was unable to even sit on the front porch. The fence was sturdy and there was a nice dog bowl for water. However, the grounds had a lot of debris...LOTS of cigarette butts (we picked up many to make sure the dog wouldn't eat them), and other bits of trash. It was the perfect size, with enough space for a small group, but cozy enough to enjoy a epic thunderstorm with a glass of wine. The gate gives you a great sense of privacy. You are a short walk to the beach, and a minute drive to the local pub for drinks and freindly locals. My husband and I drove from SLC to renew our vows on our 10 year anniversary. Your home was the pefect choice. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed was comfortable and the fire pit was enjoyable. The home also had a MASSIVE dvd library. The only slight drawback is the address is hard to see in the dark, maybe some reflective tape will be helpful. Otherwise a wonderful stay. We will absolutly come back again, only with our dogs! ##### Robin R. Very clean, Comfortable, dog friendly, and close to lots of fun things to do. It had all the things we needed from kitchen items to crabbing gear. The securely fenced yard provides privacy and a safe place for the dog. As someone who often travels with my dog, I found this to be the most dog friendly vacation rental I’ve ever stayed in. ##### Jane S. The house was lovely , clean and inviting . Got good use out of the fire pit , made s’mores which the kids love . All round perfect few days . Thank you . Oh and Florence old twin was wonderful and we visited the sea lion cave s as well which was super cool . ##### Carly N. There is a fire pit and crab pots. It was just minutes away from the Suislaw River where we love to kayak as well!
