The huge wall of windows will draw you in and then out on to the rear deck where you will be amazed by the stunning views. While you're taking in the amazing views you may notice some local wild life like eagles soaring or deer feeding in the yards. Go back inside to relax with your loved ones in the spacious living room with a cozy fireplace. At diner time you're sure to enjoy the well equipped kitchen to prepare those special meals. Gather friends or family around the large dining room table where you will make memories while enjoying the view. At bed time you will fall in love with the large master suite with a king size bed, huge bathroom, and private door to the rear deck. Guests will enjoy the huge second bedroom / loft with an attached full bathroom, king and queen size beds, and their own private balcony overlooking the beautifully landscaped front yard. Mercer Lake: Boat Launch - There are two public boat launches, First is about 1.5 miles further east on Mercer Lake rd., watch for signs on your left. Second and slightly easier option, West on Mercer Lake rd to Bayberry rd turn right then an immediate right onto Archer Ln. Launch is at the end of the road, narrow road so best to back down Archer to water. Mercer is a good sized lake listed at 341acres on the north side of Florence. Great largemouth bass fishing, yellow perch, bullhead catfish, seasonally stocked rainbow trout and some sunfish as well.. With a boat, you can poke around the long Dowell and Dahlin arms and many small coves and points around the lake. There are standing and fallen trees around the shoreline, as well as a fair number of docks, that add to the potential cover for bass and panfish. What’s nearby: This home is a quick drive to multiple access points to the Oregon Dunes and ocean beaches including the popular access just out South Jetty Road. The charming Old Town section of the city is filled with lovely shops, cafes, galleries, and restaurants. You will also be minutes from numerous trailheads for hiking or mountain biking. The coastal forests flourishing in Douglas fir and Sitka spruce extend nearly to the Ocean. Some trails wind up, over, and through sand dunes, offering hikers the opportunity to experience the unique natural wonders of this area. Take a scenic drive up Hwy 101 to Heceta Head Lighthouse where free tours are offered daily. Get your adrenalin flowing on a nearby dune buggy tour or with an ATV rental, or go crabbing from the Siuslaw Bay public fishing pier at the end of South Jetty road where crabbing is excellent from late spring until the fresh water from winter rains force the crabs out to the ocean. No Pets! This home is not pet friendly due to severe allergies. A $250 fee will be added if pets are found having stayed. Parking for 3 cars ( no garage parking ) with room for smaller boat or ATV trailer. So expansive and beautiful in every way. Not only are there views of the lake, but you can see the ocean as well when it's clear! Lots of space in the main area of the house which was great because we were teaching some medical classes and needed room to use our mannequins. The perfect spot for our annual board retreat! The only problem with this property is that I couldn't stay forever. It is truly spectacular. Even our teenager was impressed. The views can't be beat. We have been all over the world and this one of the best rentals we have experienced. The home was comfortable and well stocked, with everything we needed. It feels more like a home than a rental. This spectacular home is situated at the top of a hill overlooking Mercer Lake, including a distant view of the ocean. Gorgeous sunsets from the deck! This home has many special amenities and details - the pictures don't do it justice! Rod-iron faucets, dimmable overhead lights, peaked ceilings and a dual fireplace. The kitchen allowed four cooks at a time and meals came together easily! Antiques and clever decor in every space made us smile. We loved the master jacuzzi tub and both showers had nice hot water, although sometimes pressure was an issue. Plenty of pillows, blankets, board games, deck furniture, hi-speed internet, tv's, and areas to chill. Enjoyed hours of playing games at the large wood dining table with a view! Beds were incredibly comfortable. Family members were excited to watch wildlife each morning and evening, prep meals in the awesome kitchen and sleep in dream beds. The house was stocked very well. The only thing I would recommend would be a highchair and a crib stored in the room with the rollaway cot. The fireplace did not work. Even after obtaining the directions from itrip, it still would not work. The electric shut off for about 3 hours. A local neighbor noted it happens from time to time. I tried reaching out to itrip emergency number and was declined several times and straight to voicemail. My call was returned 5 hours later. Why have an emergency number. We weren't sure how long it would be off and we had a baby with us. Staying at this house we made the best memories. I just didn't like how long it took to get in touch with itrip.
