Lovely hotel in a fantastic location

Nice large hotel rooms with good facilities. We were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff and our bags were taken to our room while we went out to explore the city. Location of hotel is superb. We will definitely stay here when we visit Florence again.

Great location near major sights.

Hotel is in great location; couple of blocks from Duomo and Uffizi. 4th and 5th floor were closed for renovation (end of July). Room was very clean, quiet and spacious, but no view. Breakfast was great with large selection, but with similar selection over four days.

Superb location and lovely staff

We thought about getting a slightly cheaper hotel out of the centre and thank goodness we didn't! The location was superb, within walking distance of everything (just 2 minutes from the Uffizi) so you could pop back during the day to change shoes etc...discovered you need comfortable shoes for Florence! Room (we had a double) was clean and tidy and the hotel staff were very friendly and polite and gave us some great recommendations for eating out. Only niggle was the hairdryer! It was very old...one of those contraptions attached to the wall with a tube which kept falling off and took ages to dry hair! However, this certainly didn't spoil our stay. Florence is amazing and Hotel Pierre was a great base for exploring…even has Prosecco for breakfast if you’re feeling flamboyant!

Gem near the Uffizi

After having had a bad experience elsewhere, we moved here suddenly, and it couldn't have been a better choice. Centrally located, extremely helpful staff (I had a cold and they gave me lemons, etc...) lovely room, good bed, nice view and excellent breakfast. Wish I could go back tomorrow!

Fantastic location and staff

Posted 10-May-2015
Pros: Staff are super. Location perfect.
Cons: Air conditioning needs to work.
Location: The hotel is in the perfect spot between two major Piazzas, the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio, on a small side street that is a little bit quieter.
I've stayed here a few times before and overall it's a good choice for visiting Florence. The location is nearly perfect, just outside both major Piazzas in the center of town. The staff are always amazing: friendly, helpful, and attentive. For an Italian hotel, the rooms are fairly large and the bathrooms up to par. The only challenge we found on our recent trip was that their air conditioning simply didn't work. This is somewhat par for the course (almost every hotel I've ever visited in Italy starts off with the standard explanations as to why their air conditioning isn't working) and unfortunately it's a bit tiresome. Honestly, it's 2015 and any hotel that can't manage its heat and air conditioning for proper guest comfort is going to feel the pressure, especially if they are charging €330 a night. Not cool: literally and figuratively.
