You get what you pay for. Room was clean, staff helped me check in after hours though it took some back and forth. You can hear EVERYTHING (people closing and opening doors plus outside noise), so bring earplugs.

Great hotel in excellent location
Great pensioner, staff,location and room were wonderful . Only comments about the room, the bathroom could be better with a shelf to put toiletries, also a soap dispenser rather than packets, there were a great deal of stairs, 5 flights which should be mentioned but the staff helped with suitcases and were v helpful

Excellent spot
An excellent location. A short walk from the train station in one direction, the Arno and the city in the other. A nice little trattoria at ground level and excellent value for location.

Great Florence location!
The building needs some renovation and maintenance repairs but it was clean, great location and the service was excellent. There’s s a lot of stairs to walk up with luggage but doable.

The location is good, but the facilities are very outdated, and the bed mattresses are old enough to need replacing. The doorknob screw was loose and I felt like it would fall off soon, so I was anxious even when I locked the door. Accommodation too expensive for the price

A good stay for the colder months
The stay was really nice! The place is very central and it seemed the have been newly painted. The only thing we could have needed was some AC. It was relatively uncomfortable to sleep at night when the room was too warm.

No AC in the 100 degree heat, had a ceiling fan that felt like it would fall off and open windows. The unit was not cleaned when we arrived, the bathroom was boiling hot, and the sheets were scratchy and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned. Was a great location but wasn’t worth the uncomfortable stay.

The location was perfect close to everything and walking distance to stores restaurants in Metro. I only complaint was the shower didn't function properly and sprayed everywhere then head wouldn't stay up on the wall where you said it.

Cheapie best the team station.
No ac and it gets hot in Tuscany. Sink and shower in the room but no toilet. Three locks and three sets of stairs to get to the room. I guess you get what you pay for. Keep the lights out to keep the mosquitoes away.

The only positive thing about this hotel is its location. The information provided in their web page is misleading. They provide clean towels every other day, no soup, no shampoo. Hairdryer on request. To get the to the room one has to claim three set of stairs. No light at night.

Hotel Ferretti.
Basic facilities as with most mid price range Italian hotels, but suitable for what I needed. Approx 400 m from the central train station and central to getting around the sites of Florence. Plenty of places close by to eat and relax. Close to the old part of Florence, which is not so touristic and the prices are slightly cheaper all round.

Nice clean hostel front desk man
I stayed here one night in private room it was comfortable and clean however in the morning there is a older man at desk hr was not pleasant came off a little rude I absolutely did not like his attitude I asked him to hold my luggage and he said OK I waited several minutes for him to put the luggage away and when I asked him about putting it away he had an horrible attitude with me and says to me what did I tell you first off Don't speak to me like I'm a child secondly this is my personal belongings how dare you have an attitude with me about my personal belongings other than that everyone else was pleasant and help me out and when I check out in the morning he didn't even say thank you or good bye bad man at front desk

Don't book room number 9
We only stayed for one night and that was too long. We booked a room with an 'external' bathroom so expected it to be next to or even opposite our room but no. It was a fair distance away to which we had to walk through the breakfast eating area in the morning. This meant we had to have a shower before breakfast which wasn't ideal due to an early check out. It also made trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night interesting. The only nice thing was in fact the bathroom. It was just a shame it was so far away from the room. I think 1 star is generous as It's more of a hostel than a hotel. I would strongly recommend comparing before booking this hotel, I wish I did!!

Dear Sir, The choice to book a room with external private bathroom was only your probably for your little budget and you do not have to think but first ask, there are many contact points nowadays to talk to the hotel before booking a room, next time we suggest to book a room with ensuite more confortable !

if you get a room here, make sure to get one with A/C and Private bathroom. We made the mistake of not checking before booking the hotel. It was a small room which was hotter than outside at night with only a fan. Had to share the bathroom with others on the floor. The bathroom was dirty because other people were using it too.

Good, clean budget hotel, excellent location
This is a good clean value-for-money hotel in a quiet street just a few minutes walk from the station and the Duomo. The staff are lovely and friendly. The room was a good size, nice linen sheets, plenty of towels, and very clean. Breakfast was typical continental and was fine. There is no air conditioning but the ceiling fan worked very efficiently to cool the room (and is much healthier and better for you than air conditioning anyway!). There are steps up to reception from the street which was not a problem for us but might not suit the less mobile.

Hotel Ferretti Review.
The hotel does not display its name well-lighted. As a result we took a long time to locate it from a distance on our arrival during night. Its Reception and Breakfast rooms are located in the 1st and 2nd floor. It has no lift. Older persons like us had to face hardship going up & down. Only one toilet for 3 rooms.

Dear customer, thank you for your review, the lift is not listed in the service of our hotel during reservation so not a surprise for you ! For the italian law the shared bathroom can be used for a maximum of 8 person ( your room was on first floor and you shared the bath with other 2 rooms for 2 people so 6 people in total - :)

Great Stay :)
Our room was basic but, welcoming with a private bathroom that was only a few steps out the room. Bathroom was very nice and clean along with our room which had a sink inside of it. The staff was the best so far on our euro trip, very helpful. The hotel is very close to lots of the main sightseeing, train and bus stations and restaurants. Lots of people around so your always safe, only problem we had was no elevator.

Great stay for the budget holiday.
I have rated this on the amount we paid for a 1 star hotel so no expectations that we were staying in a 5 star hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. They were also on 24 hours. Breakfast was what you would expect for the price in Italy and did the job just fine. Great location, quiet and quite a posh area. Never felt threatened at all. It was cold this year (2016 in March) but the heating worked well and kept the hotel nice and warm. The Only negative really was we could occasionally hear people using the communal toilet at night (we had en-suite but some rooms don't have that facility, worth the extra pennies I'd say :). Great stay

My daughter and I had a comfortable stay.The wifi works good in our room.Room is relatively clean and spacious enough.Very convenient as pretty close to train station and lot's of good resto nearby.Will stay again in this hotel.

Basic. Location is great fee minutes from Duomo.
Great location in the middle of everything. Train station is minutes walking distance, so is the Duomo. The hotel is basic, with basic facilities, but it's ok for a cheap stay in florence.
