Just an amazing property! The front desk staff deserve 5 Gold Stars! We felt so welcomed and safe. They helped us immensely, even in making an appointment with a local barber and walking us across the street to introduce us to them. This level of service is why they have my loyalty.

Just ok for me, small historical, lobby had a nice quiet ambiance, staff were all nice.& professional. Areas of hotel were tired, often saw the maintenance & room carts out in open on way to room. Reserved superior exec. Got the deluxe room told that was the next level up(?) I didn’t confirm at check in so my issue, the Rm was decent size, bathroom big but aging areas noted. No full mirror-if you moved bedside lamp you could see your attire. Wi-Fi slow and not secure in rm. TV was huge, programming & remote was not user friendly for EN. We mentioned it our 1st day but did same thing next day. if we could figure out how to turn on English subtitles, that would have been super. The waters, candles great perk, and Rm attendants were excellent!! Osteria dining was avg,, staff nice & professional, decor pretty. Food, drink good. Being seated for 2 person right next to ugly ac, very close to lobby entrance ambiance crippled ambiance. At least AC was not running. No table we could move to during our seating time. We’ve seen places in town had encased this type of standing unit-i saw a mirror cover that would totally go with decor.

This was a lovely, five star hotel right in the center of Florence by the Domo. The location could not have been better. The hotel was just lovely. The room was on the small side but I did not expect more from a city hotel. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. This was a true five star and I’m giving that by US standards for a city hotel. Breakfast was excellent.

Fantastic stay with even better customer service from the staff members. Couldn’t have asked for a more central location. Staff was also able to book last minute visits to popular museums despite the peak season. Highly recommend on all fronts.

Be Sure to Get Room You Want but all On 1 Level!
Room left a lot to be desired. On the positive we had 360 degree view and a great mattress and linens. However, it did require 2 elevator rides and 2 flights of steps. As an aside, we left our passports in room and drove 3 hours to Rome. Concierge called and arranged driver to bring our passports in time to make flight!!!

I really wanted to love this property, but I felt at $600 a night, it deserves an honest review. The staff is friendly and the hotel is absolutely stunning. Our problem was really with the housekeeping. My son and I were traveling together and requested twin beds. The beds were so uncomfortable that we flipped back and forth all night, both waking up with a sore back. The pillows were lumpy, which I don’t understand in this day and age. Why not replace with higher quality? It’s such an easy fix. On day 2, we ran out of toilet paper in our room. I can honestly say, that’s the first time I’ve ever had that happen at a hotel. The last morning, my son did the look under the bed to make sure we didn’t leave the stray sock behind and he said “uh-oh…pretty dusty under here” I would probably never leave a review like this, but at this price point, it really needs to be mentioned. I loved the hotel and will likely stay there again, but management should revisit the facility maintenance.

It's two quiet streets off the main avenues to the Duomo - it's quiet, has a museum in the basement and the breakfast buffet was amazing. Hearing the bells from the Tower was a plus! A very very Florence experience, walkable to all the sights - friendly staff

We loved the room upgrade with Expedia VIP. Unbeatable view of the Duomo and close to all the main attractions. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Parking is a bit tricky at the hotel but otherwise no complaints. We’ve stayed here twice and would love to come back again!

Our stay was fabulous. The hotel was beautiful and centrally located to everything The most terrific part was our new friend Paulo at the front desk. He was very kind, and went out of his way to help us with one of our most favorite tours in a Fiat 500. We fell in love with Italy and will be back.

The hotel itself is beautiful! most of the staff was very friendly, however, my personal concierge Sergio was very condescending and rude to me. He did not seem to understand that a young woman could actually be the one paying for things. He kept deferring to my parents (who I took on the trip as a gift) and really wanted nothing to do with me. He was so rude and almost made me cry and it was really awful. Everyone else was very lovely, helpful and accommodating. If you can avoid Sergio, then the property is really lovely.
