The property we’re staying in was comfortable, safe & convenient to the shop & easy to get transport. The room was clean & very friendly staff. The only problem was a bit too far from Amsterdam city. Well recommended!

To be honest, there were a lot of ups and downs for a one night stay, but we walked away happy. Smooth check in but with a miscommunication about our breakfast in bed that we had specially ordered. The requested baby crib was already in the room but there were also earplugs so you know what that means. The eco friendly wash was out by the sink but there was plenty in the shower. When we went down to clarify the breakfast issue, the very friendly staff promised it would be delivered at 8am. Slept a bit rocky and definitely needed the earplugs because there was a lot of noise from the surrounding bars and restaurants. In the morning 8am came and went with no food in sight. At 8.30 called down and they had no idea what we were talking about. They called back a few minutes later and said breakfast was on it's way. 9am came and went with no knock at our door. Toddler was now starving and crying so i called down again (with said screaming toddler on my arm). 5 minutes later...The Most Beautiful Breakfast I Have Ever Seen was rolled into our room. I felt like Juila Roberts in Pretty Woman. It was amazing. No idea if this was the normal fare or if it was to make up for the mishap, but who cares. We ate like royalty. And to boot they apologized by giving us 20 euros as recompense. Overall it was a cute little hotel in a central location, perfect for a quick trip to see Lelystad.

I only use this hotel (and have done for years) due to its proximity to our office in Lelystad. The hotel is worn and dated, not invested in, and clearly is understaffed resulting in poor service. apparently due for refit next year, which hopefully will make it better value for money. at present is only location that speaks for using it compared to the new van der valk who charge the same price but much better facility

Very poor lighting system inside the room. Uncomfortable mattress in the bed. Can't sleep in it. During the two days stay didn't clean my room at all. Poor service.

Grumpy front desk guy and old hotel
This hotel is quite old and that is noticable on everything. Old bathroom, no AC, and the bath almost falls out of the hinges. Due to the high temperature there was a small fan, but nowhere enough to sleep comfortable. And besides this a grumpy old guy at the desk who thought he knew it all. We will not visit here again

2 day business trip to Lelystad... hotel was clean, comfortable, staff very helpful. Has a great buffet place downstairs. Only downside is no air con, and with the heat last week it was a bit uncomfortable, but can’t be helped. Will stay again.

A very pleasant stay in Lelystad
Cute area with many shops and restaurants. We had a large balcony on the top floor which was for looking over the city. Staff was very friendly and had great suggestions on things to do.

2 night business trip. Hotel amenities are fine, plenty of restaurants to choose from. Room decor is not great (painted concrete, exposed pipes). But the service was great and staff very helpful.

A great hotel
We stayed in this hotel om arrival to Lelystad one week earlier and liked it very much, so we returned on the way back. Because of the varm weather we booked a suite with air condition this time. Comfortable beds, lovely bathroom, good wifi and very good breakfast. The staff was very helpful. Restaurants close as well as shops.

When you just have to stay in Lelystad
The Apollo Hotel in Lelystad is fairly minimalist, but always clean and makes for an acceptable stay if you just have to be in Lelystad. Not many other options really. The staff here are always pleasant and helpful.

Excellent Hotel
I think the hotel is very good with very friendly reception staff. I stay here quite often for business and they always make you feel very welcome. They have a very busy all you can eat Chinese restaurant within the building which offers very good value for money. The rooms and bed are very comfortable and each room boosts a modernist design. The only negative is that the Wifi reception on the upper floors is pretty poor.

We were told where the breakfast room was at the time of our check in. What we were not told was that it was going to cost us 35eu for two to have a lousy breakfast with the worst selection. I had a yoghurt and a slice of bread with cheese. Coffee and juice. Most expensive breakfast ever at a hotel. What a bummer. They also wanted us to pay for parking across the street, but then took pity and gave a a waiver. The parking lot was empty overnight, so was most of the hotel.

Dear Mr/Mrs, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that we did not tell you about the breakfast price. It's a buffet breakfast with many different chooses. That's way we ask a price of €17,50 per person. Because we are located in the city centre we do not have our own parking garage. Despite the uncertainties we hope you had a good stay with us.
