This was my 3rd stay at The Augustin, staff always friendly and polite. The only issues we had this time was the fridge was not working and the shower hose leaked and would wet the bathroom a considerable amount. Was reported to reception who arranged for maintenence to sort it out. Breakfast buffet is between 7am-10am at €15 per adult.children under 12 free. I would advise not going late as the don't restock the hot food near closing time. Overall breakfast was good. Location of the hotel is really good about 10-minute walk from Eurostar and 10-15 to the centre depending how far you want to go. If I come back to Brussels I would definitely stay again.

Just 15 minutes walk from the Zuid station and 10 minutes walk from Mannekin Pis the location is very convenient. It has tall and spacious rooms. Only downside is that the restaurant doesn’t serve lunch or dinner.

Good location
Good location with easy access to metro, train, and downtown by foot. Surprisingly quiet considering the location. Good water pressure and toiletries.

It's a nice, cosy little hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. However, the surroundings could have been better. The security could have been improved. It felt like anyone could just walk in. The lifts can be accessed without a key card as does the rest of the hotel facilities.

There is no parking available, was suggested to park at metered parking outside of the hotel. Car was broken into. Manager was more interested in deflecting blame than doing anything to help us deal with the situation. Left a really bad impression.

"The property falls short of the standards expected of a 4-star hotel. The air conditioner was malfunctioning, making our room uncomfortably warm at 29 degrees Celsius. Shockingly, we discovered that the AC had been in disrepair since July, and even in early September, it remained unresolved.Additionally, the lack of a ramp at the entrance meant we had to lug our heavy luggage upstairs to reach the reception desk. Unfortunately, there was no assistance from the staff with our bags. The absence of a restaurant was disappointing, as they only served breakfast in the morning.In light of these serious issues, it's evident that this hotel does not live up to its claimed 4-star status."Feel free to let me know if you'd like any further adjustments or if there's anything else you'd like to include.

Nice Brussels hotel
Lovely hotel located within walking distance of central train station, many restaurant choices and most attractions. Very spacious but basic hotel room. Loved the extra large soaker bath tub! The location is on the edge of a less desirable neighborhood; however, I never felt unsafe.

The rooms were nice and big. Very clean. We were on the 3rd floor and the AC went out the day before we arrived . It was very hot and miserable our entire 3 days we were there. They did provide a fan but it didn’t help. The grand palace is not a 5 min walk it is about a 15 min walk.

Nice hotel midway between Gare Du Midi and the historic centre - great location with a few smaller bars and cafes nearby, also walkable to some great restaurants in Marroles. Room was maybe a little characterless, but a good size, clean and comfortable.

I rate it average. The safe was not working the first day, neither was the air conditioner. They changes our room for the remaining nights, but the air conditioner was not working as it should and we had to leave the windows wide open. The breakfast was below our expectations. I will not consider it again.

On recent trip to London, Paris and Amsterdam, this hotel was the best, great friendly staff and beautiful ultra clean rooms with the most comfortable bed I have slept in in years.

Good Location if no construction
Hotel was decent at best. Staff was also on the rude and not accommodating. Hotel needed renovations (old elevator and stairs). There was also no AC in the room. We booked the hotel for its easy access to the train station but there was construction everywhere and the 10 minute walk turned into a 30 minute one. The hotel told us that if we knew where to go it would have only been ten minutes (obviously no?).

The Augustin is a good place to stay if you’re on a budget. It’s about a 12 minute walk to major attractions and 12 minutes from the Brussels midi station. So it’s easy to get around on foot and it’s very easy to find good places to eat/things to do. There are also a lot of e-bikes & scooters around as well. My only complaints about the hotel would be the level of noise. I woke up multiple times a night due to disruptions from the street and other guests in the hotel. There were also no curtains in the room so the room was very bright very early each day. The people at the front desk were not also the kindest either. The hotel overall is rundown and could do with some updates.

Not only did I enjoy my stay here, but also already booked another visit to the hotel. It’s seated perfectly between the Brussels MIDI train station and shopping and local attractions (all easily walkable). Also, I found the staff to be exceedingly helpful. During check-in I was handed a local map where they were happy to circle attractions and chart a walking path for me. The room was clean and comfortable, spacious, and had several easy-to-access outlets.

Overall the hotel was clean but my room was probably the worst in the hotel. I hit my head several times because of the uneven ceiling! Neighborhood was not too great either. But the staff was really excellent—two thumbs up for everyone.

Fantastic, helpful staff. Location is an easy an interesting walk to the Grand Palace. Neighborhood has lots of Belgian immigrants and is not touristy but very authentic, real-life Brussels. Loved it.
