We immediately were happy with our choosing this lodge to stay in after our great check in experience with Kim. She was personable and helpful with suggesting beautiful sunset view walks and other hikes. We stayed so we could drive into Milford sound the next day for hiking. Close to walk to grocery store and town center. Big room! We would recommend this to friends and family, we would also stay here again ourselves. Thank you Kim and team!

If you want a great placevto stay in Te Anu then this is your spot. Close to town, quiet digs, amazing lake views and a host that has an amazing calm demeanour even when the apps have let us down! Five stars and More!

The Lakefront Lodge was a great stay. A beautiful small hotel, in an even more beautiful location. Well appointed rooms with a great outside area. loved it!

We stayed for two nights at Lakefront Lodge and used as our base to visit Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound (both incredible!). Our hosts were lovely, just so helpful and so knowledgeable. Our room was terrific - spotlessly clean, super comfortable and we loved the lavender bags and chocolate on the pillows. A great stay and would recommend wholeheartedly.

Super cozy but spacious. The jet tub was amazing. Only thing I would say that could have made this place even better was if the beds were a little more comfortable (they weren’t bad but not what I would call ideal. But we loved this place and the staff was super nice. Definitely recommend and we would definitely go back!

Excellent customer service, very clean. The room was very warm and the furnishings and linen were of excellent quality. Next time we are in Te Anau, I will try to book this place again.

Amazing location and such a beautiful place. We had the deluxe studio and the bed was very comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome. We had unit 1 and each unit had a lovely front patio which we got to enjoy the sunshine in. I’d stay here again, it was lovely!

This lodge was in perfect location with beautiful mini botanic garden. Room is big and suite style with kitchen. Very clean with hot tub for relaxation after tired hikes. Table and bench out side each room to sit out looking at the lake.

Our temperatures this season have been on the higher side. as we normally only have this problem on the rear occasion. This maybe something we will review if these temperatures continue. Sorry but we are Lakefront lodge, not Lakeview and nowhere on our site or other sites does it state that units are direct lake facing. I do hope you enjoyed Te Anau.

Great place but so hot with no air
This is a great place in a great location. Lots of little extras were provided. But no air conditioning and it was so hot every day in the room. The owner said tempscwere very unusual and no hotels on the south island provide air but research shows weather is often hot in the summer and all our ither hitels have had air. Wouldnt recommend staying in the summer

We thank you for your comments and agree that temperatures have been high this year which may I say we have all thoroughly enjoyed. What the problem is in Southland this year is that the humidity has also been extremely high, which is something us Southlanders have never had to worry about. This issue will be reviewed.

The lady at reception was very courteous and made our experience delightful. She was happy to answer all our questions and gave few tips about our drive to Milford Sound following morning. Overall it was a great experience and I am looking forward to coming back here.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by very friendly staff. The owner explained everything and gave excellent advice on tours etc. The room was very comfortable, clean, and we had everything we needed. For the 4 days we stayed here we felt like we were at home. And the location, the lake view, and the town, are just amazing. We will definitely be back.
