We had to vacate our home for a day while carpets were being laid. Red Lion's location and price were main reason we selected this as our lodging for the night. Room was small, but mattress was comfortable. Linens were clean as was the rest of the room.
We stayed in one of their suites and it had a ton of space. I liked that you had to use your room key to use the elevator. Hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. I will definitely be staying there again.

We spent the night at this hotel before leaving on a week long hiking/camping vacation. It was easy to locate and about a 20-30 minute drive from the airport. My husband and I are very frugal travelers so I felt the room rate was a good value for the amenities. The complimentary breakfast provided a wide variety of hot/cold items.
We were looking for something safe and inexpensive and that's what we got. Front desk staff was helpful getting us a room that didn't smell like smoke. Second room was great and it met our expectations.
It was in the location I needed, lots of local restaurants and fast food like Burger King. It was nice to have coffee and coffee machine in the room, I would suggest more packages of coffee.. As an older person a smoking room on the ground floor would be preferred.
"Just wanted a nice, clean motel for a decent price"
The only complaint I have is there was no hot water. If I had been staying longer it would have been an issue. We were on the 3rd floor and they may have had hot water on the lower floors, but they should find a fix, Everybody wants hot water,
In between Seattle to the north and Tacoma to the south, Federal Way offers easy access to both cities via freeway or at its transit center hub. Originally a logging settlement, Federal Way is now home to a large Korean community and the Weyerhaeuser Company. Federal Way’s many parks include the 12-acre Dumas Bay Centre, Dash Point State Park, and the West Hylebos Wetlands Park.
