Very pleased with our one night stay at the Village Hotel. Everything you want and expect from easy access, free car park, friendly staff, quick registration, clean and modern room, free wifi, adjacent bar with food followed by a good night's sleep and a very tasty buffet breakfast in the morning.
Well done to all concerned.
Would highly recommend based on our experience.
i enjoyed the walk to the grange from the main reception and the room was a nice size and on the surface clean and pleasant. However i noticed bad maintenance in some areas, particularly in the bathroom. i didnt eat there so can't say anything about the food. pleasant environment makes it a nice place for a relaxing weekend break, i could walk for hours just round the ground. If you can forgive chipped plaster and bad grouting/filling then go for it.
If all you need is a place to stay, this hotel is fine. There is free car parking, WiFi is included and breakfast is available, though I didn't try it. The spacious room was clean (by 2* standards) and equipped with a television set, hairdryer and kettle. This is a two-star hotel and the decor merited that rating. The bathroom was basic, and could do with a spring-clean. Mould, albeit just a little, was spotted on the shower curtain and the toilet could have done with more of a scrub. That said, it was clean enough and if under £50 per night, I'd stay again.
Judy gave us a great welcome. Good situation for us as we were going to a party at the Fleet Golf and Country Club.Had a delicious cooked breakfast before we returned home the next morning.
We stayed there the night before our way back home from the Heathrow Ariport. The location and the price are excellent. Many restaurant accessible by short walk. The hotel is in excellent condition and so are the room and matress.
Best known for the Farnborough International Air Show, (held in July in even-numbered years: 2008, 2010 etc) this small town is currently undergoing major redevelopment. Close by is Aldershot, home of the British Army, with several military museums. Seven miles away is Guildford, Surrey’s attractive county town, which has good retail and leisure facilities. Fast trains run directly to London Waterloo in under 40 minutes.
