Expedia said it was near metro, but too far to walk must drive. Free shuttle only runs part of the day. Loved the pool, had a lifeguard and it was a good size pool. Room was large and had lots of room. Free breakfast was not appetizing. Need more choices. Would have been nice to have had a bench on porch outside room. No where to sit outside. Not near a lot of restaurants but near the DC sites
"This is clean simple hotel close to the bus stop"
This is a simple and clean hotel. It is also very small. There are a lot of parking spots available at the back. However, I was using public transportation while stayed there and I found that the bus stop (28A) is just half a block away when you come from West Falls Church metro station. To go back to West Falls Church metro station I jumped on the same bus at the bus stop just across the street from the hotel. It takes 5-6 minutes each way to go to or from the subway station. They have very simple but eatable breakfast.
Since I arrived to DCA early in the morning, I wanted to drop off my luggage at the hotel. I called Inns of Virginia and asked if they already had a room available. The stuff member at the reception was very nice to me and I was allowed to CHECK IN at 9:30 AM!
The Mad Fox brewery across the street is great!
Overall, there a lot of businesses in the neighborhood, but it's very quiet at night. Also, there is nothing to do after midnight.
Very clean, big rooms, nice and easy to reach location, surrounded by many facilities, not far from Viena metro station & Seven Corner plazas so it's very easy to go to DC ( Hotel provides free shuttle service to metro station) , and very nice and helpful staff,,, What I need more??? Sure I'll be their again,,Highly recommended for all..
Everything about the hotel was exceptionally good: the room, the breakfast and specially the staff!
It is a very busy place with lots of families mostly. Breakfast time gets a bit crowded but there is really nothing to complain about. Check-in / Checkout can be a bit slow specially during the weekends because this place is so popular.
Night Duty Manager is extremely courteous and a real gentleman. He went out of his way to help and drove me around in the evenings when the shuttle drivers are off.
For someone who travelled halfway across the world and my very first time to the US, I really felt like it was home away from home!
Darnell and Rene were wonderful and ensured a great stay! The hotel is beautiful, although I wish the fountains had been on in the outdoor patio area.
Food is OK, a bit pricey.
Overall a great hotel and very convenient to 495 and 66.
