The Black Bull Inn
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed for 3 nights in the Hetton bedroom. Very clean, lovely bathroom and comfy bed. Just the pillows that I didn’t get on with. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice both hot and cold. On two of our three evenings we ate in the inn and the food was great, cannot fault any of it. Lovely, friendly staff. Great position for travelling to all the sights in Northumberland. We will definitely stay again."

"This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed here. The staff are amazing, very friendly. The food is great with a good choice. Breakfast is included in the price and is one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had in a hotel. The rooms are spotless as is the rest of the hotel. They are also dog friendly. I will definitely be staying there again."

"We enjoyed our stay here, we booked a lovely room with a stunning seaview. We didn't have breakfast as we wanted to be away early but the evening meal was very nice, staff were friendly."

"We stayed one Saturday night in early August. A nice welcoming hotel with ample parking. We had a premier room which was very comfortable, quiet, and had pleasant views over the gardens. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and reminded us that everything in the minibar was complimentary! As we’d eaten prior to arriving, the snacks and drinks - both alcoholic and soft were just enough to keep us satisfied until our good night’s sleep. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and served in the hotel’s restaurant. This was a good choice for an overnight stay, especially in a premier room."

"Great position near the station and the centre of town, generous sized room recently refurbished. Live music on Friday and Saturday nights that makes the accommodation noisy, not suitable for those who need an early night,"

"Superb inn and hotel with ample free parking. Helpful and jovial staff with nothing too much trouble. Easy check in. Good choice at the bar and splendid food. All in all a very pleasing experience."
The Linton Hotel

"Small hotel ( essentially rooms above the bar and restaurant) in a pretty East Lothian village. Easy on-street parking, straightforward check-in , decent size room. Amenities are a little basic and I was frustrated that the shower in my room had very low water flow. Nice to have a cooked breakfast available every day. I didn't eat in the evening but the dinner menu looked tempting and good value."

"We had the private, self-catering studio. It was large, clean and modern. No complaints at all, we wish we had stayed longer. Highly recommended if you are in this part of the world."
