lovely hotel, centrally located, attentive staff.

Pros: Comfortable bed, staff professional and immaculately turned out, pool and spa pool, good breakfast choice, good choice of room service and prompt.
Cons: Very little. 1 or 2 cubicles for those less comfortable with single sex communal changing rooms for the pool. Additional bar staff on busy evenings.
Location: Located in town centre close to shops, bars, restaurants, Exeter Cathedral and cinemas and escape rooms within walking distance of hotel.
Perfectly located in the town centre close to Exeter Cathedral and plenty of bars and restaurants. We came here to meet with family and relax and it was perfect for us. The staff were very attentive, especially housekeeping and at breakfast time. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. The gym and pool are lovely facilities and staff here made is feel welcome. Reception staff checked us in and out with ease and answered all our queries. The whole hotel feels comfortable and well organised and we would love to come again.

Exeter hotel

Nice hotel in central exeter. Have stayed many times over the years. Very comfortable bed and reburbished bathroom was lovely. The quality of the toilet roll was better suited to a bikers' caff - surprising really. I'll take my own next time.

Close to city centre

Really nice hotel with lovely pool and spa area and other facilities. Breakfast included cooked fresh from menu or buffet. Room very comfortable, only downside was the little extras which I would normally expect for the quality of the hotel and the price paid such as no bottled water in room and no biscuits with coffee. Really enjoyed stay.

Nice hotel close to centre of city

Only one night's stay but quite comfortable. Good breakfast. Staff were very polite and efficient. Good sized room and comfortable bed. Good shower and great to have shelving in the bathroom for washbag etc. Great to have ironing board and iron available. Nespresso coffee machine in room, noisy, but good. Swimming pool and changing facilities were good. Enjoyed our stay. Would use hotel again and would recommend to a friend.

Lovely hotel ...reception staff need more training

We had a nice stay, we booked in a family room. But it was more like just a double room with a sofa bed, hardly any room in there at all. Bit disappointed as I phoned to upgrade the day before an d they said the room was big enough for three of us. Breakfast was always lovely and helpful staff. We ate dinner once which was great and bar staff really helpful and friendly too. The main negative was the reception staff at check in and then again the same people when we had a few questions regarding where we could eat with a one year old. Our daughter was tired and hungry after a long drive and we really didn't want to eat in the hotel restaurant if she was going to be noisy. We asked if there was a family friendly pub/restaurant close by ish, we said we could drive etc... they wouldn't even mention one place to help us out. Within a couple of minutes leaving the hotel we realised there we loads in the local area. Also at check-in they didn't even tell us the basic information about the hotel, where we go for breakfast etc, what direction our room was in, what floor, where the lifts were etc etc. Had to ask everything. Were quite miserable and unhelpful
