An overnight visit for my sons 21st birthday proved to be rather disappointing. Nowhere to park at the hotel. I was directed to a multi storey car park down the road which was a bit unnerving after dark and ended up leaving via an exit which led me to the middle of town. Thanks to google maps I made the 6 minute walk back to the hotel with my bags. Reception staff were not welcoming and when I asked if I could buy a drink they promptly started checking in someone else. I was finally directed to the first floor which was like a rabbit warren and when I finally stumbled across my room I discovered that I’d been put in an accessible room, no bath, a chair in the shower and a zip-link bed. The room was very stuffy, I was unable to open a window and there was a door between my room and the next where I could clearly hear the people chatting. When I checked out the next morning, the reception staff were again rather unfriendly, I was not asked if I enjoyed my stay, probably the best thing in the circumstances.
