Lovely vacation stay
We had an amazing stay here. There are extra touches that make the property feel welcoming and like a guest home. It is clean and fresh with modern amenities. The kids loved the connect four and bag toss in the backyard. The adults loved the coffee & filtered water in the well-equipped kitchen. The property is perfectly located, too. It’s within walking distance of a park & close to downtown. Sequoia National Park is ~ a 45 min drive. Slick Rock recreation area is ~ 30 mins away. The house manual also provides lovely places to visit in Exeter that added to our trip. We’re happy we chose to stay here. It’s a gem!

Comfortable home base for a trip to Sequoia
Our family of 4 enjoyed our time at the Exeter Retreat. It was well appointed and very cute. The layout made it comfortable for our family of 4 after and it is a convenient distance for a day trip to Sequioa National Park. The biggest draw-back was the heavily scented cleaning products and air fresheners used in the property. As a person sensitive to scents and it was a lot for me.

Best VRBO I’ve stayed in
This was a lovely home is a cute neighborhood. The house looked like it was recently upgraded, everything was new and exceptionally clean. Everything worked well and they had extras like coffee there, which was nice. Check in and out were very easy. There is a park close by that we walked to each day with playgrounds and workout stations. Downtown Exeter is really cute with good eating. Relatively short, and pretty drive to Sequoia. We would definitely stay here again.

Very clean. Very nice owners.
I want to preface this review by saying I'm very sensitive to chemical smells and smells in general. We arrived at the house and got in fine--instructions were very good. Sadly, the cleaning chemicals that had been used were too much for me to stay the night, but the place was very clean and inviting. We found alternate accommodations for the night and the owners were very kind about the situation and offered a partial refund. I should have asked about the cleaning products ahead of time but normally I don't find it an issue in homes with hardwood floors. Sensitive people like me should never assume anything. Anyway, these are wonderful VRBO owners and most people won't have any issue, so don't avoid booking here!

Great stay in an awesome house
Nice house in a quiet neighborhood. I heard more birds than cars. Completely changed my mind about what in town living can be like. Small town and the house is close to everything. Clean, top notch appliances, big TV, fast Wi-Fi, great shower, and even supplied us with water. José even saved us with a new canister of propane when we realized the other one was out and we had steaks marinating. We were close to Sequoia, which is what we came for, but wealso found a great splash pad in nearby Visalia. Local restaurants were great. All and all great experience for a town I've never heard of. Thank you José you are good people.

Great Home for Sequoia Vacation!
The home is very clean, from the moment that we entered the house it was already impressive. The house is in close proximity to Walmart and Costco which is convenient, and the neighborhood is quiet. There is even a park and local supermarket within walking distance. The kitchen is equipped with the necessities as well. It is also about a 45-minute drive from the Sequoias, which allowed us to return to the park every day :) Thank you!

Amazing Stay
The house was super clean. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Location was excellent if you want to visit Sequoia National Park it's about a 40min drive. Jose was an excellent host. Would definitely recommend.
