Very nice small space close to the center of town
"Very nice space, not only close to the city center, but with a co-op opposite for any needed necessities. Bus stops were also close by for easy access but walking was also doable. Had all that we needed and when we arrived we were even given cookies. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!"

The instructions given in the accommodation were very clear. I used the bed-settee that is located in ..."
"We had a lovely time, the lodge, sauna and swimming pool were excellent. The only thing that let us down was the hot tub. It took over 2 hours to fill it with water. Heating the hot tub was a nightmare. It was a manual fireplace which we used, firelighters, coal, logs, kindling and even fire fluid ..."

"The young staff made this hotel trip memorable. Overall friendly and keen to assist but a special mention for Ian and Jo who dealt with a couple of incidences with speed and efficiency and were keen to check that, as older visitors, everything was to our liking. Excellent breakfast choice and service - dinner not so efficient.
Quibbles; Heating system did not allow for bedroom temperature to be set beneath 18'.
Marketing info stand full of odd brochures and not one city map. "

"Beautiful room in a gorgeous hotel. Spa facilities were easily accessible and very relaxing. Staff were fantastic and friendly. Truly the best we’ve stayed in for a while.
Dining was lovely and we throughly enjoyed our stay."
A verified traveller stayed at Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel
"Beautiful building in a quiet location very close to city centre. Lovely atmosphere. The breakfast in a bag scheme works well. No food available but plenty of places within easy walking distance. I extended my stay by a night rather than book in the next town I was going to - when the hotel gets it right why risk somewhere else?"
