Quiet and convenient.
Nice property close to town but in a quiet area. Check in lady was poor but other staff average. Good wine store off the lobby. Breakfast was decent. They have a peacock that comes around outside!!

The property is a wonderful resort, a short drive to the unique town of Evora. Enjoyed using as my base and using the pool and facilities My only complaint was that the first room we were assigned smelled like s!&t and the staff believed that a spray of heavy deodorant would solve the problem. Staff could use a little retraining.

The outdoor pool area was nice. We also liked our deck overlooking the pool area, though we had to ask for a second chair so we could both sit out there. Staff were great. Food was very good, though a bit repetitive for those staying more than a few days.

Big hotel, convenient access, popular with tours
We enjoyed 2 nights at the Evora Hotel, chosen for budget, parking, and easy 75 minute drive to the airport. The lobby is spacious with reception, gift shop and wine shop. Our room and bathroom were of a good size, with comfy chair, closet and fridge, and balcony with pleasant view of the grounds. Linens and pillows were fine, though the mattress could use more padding. Hair dryer was strong, unlike many, though bathroom lighting doesn't work for applying makeup. Small TV brings in some English channels. Extensive grounds include large pools and tennis court. Free breakfast offered many breads, fruits, cheese and cold meats, as well as hot choices including eggs, bacon/sausage, grilled tomatoes, etc. We opted for the dinner buffet, which was extensive--first time I've enjoyed pork cheeks. The hotel is a bit out of town, so buffet was convenient. The hotel is large and very popular with tour groups. (photo--bed started out neatly made!)

Nice hotel with balconies which I always appreciate. Buffet for breakfast and supper was good too. About a 2km walk to town Center so close enough to all the sites if you don’t mind mind walking or a 5 euro cab ride

Exceptional hotel and the service amazing, this was one of 16 hotels we stayed at in Spain and Portugal This hotel could very be rated a 5 star.This is a must try for all guests to Evora Portugal.

The hotel was very good, but was quite a walk from the city centre. Staff were friendly, efficient and attentive. The breakfast was good, but vegetarian options in the restaurant were limited. An excellent buffet was available at lunchtime.

Very good hotel with really nice up to high standards rooms. Great value for money, large comfortable beds and friendly and helpful stuff. Clean and extremely welcoming and enjoyable altogether. Since prices were pretty high elsewhere even it was still low season, this was the best decision we could do by staying a bit more far from the city centre. After all, we had a rental car so this was not a problem at all. The facilities are huge, and both the outdoor and indoor acclimatized pool awesome, with a jacuzzi too. However please do note you must wear a pool hat if you want to enter the pool, that's their policy even though nothing was explained in hotels.com. The breakfast was superb. Really enjoyed the stay and totally recommended to everyone.

Top class hotel on the outskirts of the town, but a short drive wit plenty of parking around the walls. Lovely old historical town, food good and not over touristy in February. The Roman aqueduct, and later, on the way westwards, the Neolithic magaliths more than worth a visit. ( But beware the water worn rough unmetalled road for 2K approach. No problem with care)

Super swimming pool.
We haddock an small issue with the smell in our bathroom (coming from the sanitary piping -- most likely) and the response from facility manager was immediate.

Recommend as close to Evora
The hotel was close the city centre and very handy to amenities. When we arrived it didn't look good - looked like it had been built in the 70's! But we needn't have worried as when we entered the lobby it was a different story. The rooms were a good size and every room had a balcony. The room was spotless. The food was great. Overall the hotel was tired and in need of some updating but the staff more than made up for it. They were extremely helpful. Their English was very good, which is just as well,as our Portuguese is terrible. The pool area was lovely.

Quiet stay
Hotel on outskirts of Evora so transport needed for city visit. Quiet hotel with good sized rooms. Staff helpful and friendly. Lovely resturant offering regional dishes.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The staff was fantastic. The pool was great. The breakfast was super. It is a little out of town, but the Hop On Hop Off comes to the front door for 5 euros for the day.They found out it was our 51st anniversary and sent us a bottle of Champagne and grapes. What a wonderful surprise.
