"Near good restaraunts and shopping"
Wonderful stay had know idea their was a strip mall across the street and a lot of great places to eat. During check in i was surprised to receive a chocolate nut cookie which I must say is to die for also free apples. Just enough to give you a boost after a long ride or flight. Will definitely stay again and worth the money.

"Nice hotel, great location"
I stayed here for two nights. It was a very pleasant experience. Comfortable room, if the bathroom was a bit small. Good food. Great neighborhood. Parking could be improved. I brought my ticket down to the valet after the first night and he asked if I had called down. I said, "No, was I supposed to?" He said its faster that way. It then took almost 15 minutes for me to get my car. The next morning I called down about 20 minutes before I was ready to leave. My car was there when I exited the hotel but I did have to wait a few minutes for the valet to return from helping another customer before I got my key. The latter situation was okay but I think they should let you know that you have to call down in advance to get your car when you want it.

"Newly renovated...downtown Evanston"
The price was very good for staying in downtown Evanston. Visiting family, able to walk to their apt. Last time we stayed in one of the suburbs, paid more & had to drive back & forth. The hotel has been newly renovated; entire building now smoke free. We has an enormous room overlooking downtown. Best of all, unlike most places the wall of windows did not have black out curtains (that we hate) but curtains that filtered the light, but still allowed one to be able to see if it was light or still dark out. Lots of outlets to charge electronics. The pool looked nice, no time to use, but did see others using, not crowded. I was charged for two food items, that we had not purchased....could have not been nicer removing charges when we checked out. I have told family how nice the Holiday Inn was and they plan to recommend to other visitors from out of town. The only extra expense is charge for valet parking. There is however a large underground public parking lot several blocks away, did not use as husband having back problems.

"Convenient place to stay for our one day trip."
We booked this hotel as we were going to a concert in Chicago at the United Center. We new we would need a place to stay over and sleep at that wasn't too far from the venue. It was just myself and my son. We were asked at check in if we wanted a King size bed or 2 doubles, which I am glad we had the option. There appeared to be some sort of event happening at the hotel, and I was thankful that our room was not close by the event so that it would not be too loud or noisy. The hotel was nice, however, you could see that it was older and they had done some remodeling to make it a nicer place to stay. The rooms were pretty clean, though not fine details, a few dust bunnies and the bathroom could have been a little cleaner. I f I were a bath person, I would not have taken a bath in the bath tub. Overall it was a perfect fit for our short stay.

"Great location; housekeeping needs help."
Staff was very friendly and responsive. We stayed 4 nights, checked in on Friday and was told breakfast ends at 10:00. We showed up for breakfast at 9:00 on Monday and the doors were locked. No coffee, no breakfast, no posting anywhere about the varying times. Housekeeping forgot us one day and forgot to leave towels another day. Bathroom floor was not swept the whole time we were were there. Chris at front desk was professional and attentive and should be commended for his extra efforts to make a last minute change on the room type we wanted. Although friendly, one of the front desk ladies had the same stain on her shirt all 3 days we saw her. It was Graduation Weekend and Father's Day so the hotel was sold out. It seemed that the hotel was new and they are probably working out the kinks. I'd stay there again because I'm pretty sure their attitude is right and they will get the rest of it worked out.
