Deer come through the yard frequently and often rest under the porch or in the backyard! The property is large, over 1 acre to explore, and provides ample space in the large fenced yard to play outdoor games or to have a barbecue on the patio with family and friends. \*\*Please note - if you are staying here in the Winter months, you will need snow chains! The driveway is steep and slippery if covered in snow. Potential snow anytime from Sept-May. We snow plow the driveway in between guests, but it is still very slippery.\*\* This beautiful home offers 2 spacious living areas with comfy seating arrangements. The 2nd living area also offers a sleeper sofa for additional sleeping space. While you are relaxing, enjoy the big screen TV with YouTubeTV, Amazon Fire TV, DVD Player, and WiFi. The wood burning stove/fireplace offers a cozy space to gather and stay warm. Enjoy the well-equipped kitchen with beautiful maple cabinetry. Bedroom 2 has a Serta pillow-top (softer support) Queen-sized mattress on a log bed and Bedroom 3 has 2 single-sized beds also with brand new Serta mattresses. Bedroom 3 is designed for children or teens. There is another lovely full size bathroom with jetted tub for these bedrooms to share. The home was in a good location. We utilized the bike path into town several times. The hot tub was amazing after long hikes and bike rides. The cabin was very clean with a well stocked kitchen. Bedrooms where very comfortable and had plenty of room for clothes and other items. Bathroom shower was great. Nice hot tub and outdoor areas. This is a return visit but with different family members. Beyond the natural wonders of Rocky Mountain Ntnl Park, we enjoyed the kitchen area, hottub (aaahhh!) and this time had fun in the really comfy family den area playing 'Clue' - which we hadn't done since we were kids. We knew we wanted a location that gave us quick access to RMNP as well as downtown Estes Park without having heavy traffic . This checked all of the boxes and more. RMNP was just beautiful and we were grateful to see a lot of wildlife including a large herd of elk, a lone grand elk and a Rocky Mountain Sheep Ram! The other highlight of the trip was the wonderful VRBO. It was so very clean, easy to enter/exit, and had everything you can imagine to make for a great stay. The driving instructions provided are excellent. There are plenty of surprise extras such as a beautiful view of the mountains, resident deer, a charging station for all types of phones, jug of distilled water (valuable to those who may be on CPAPs), towels for the easy-to-operate hot tub, coffee and other pantry goodies, an easy tv to work (sometimes difficult at other places), comfy beds, new appliances and great views - everything about this VRBO made for a restful special time.
