It's right across from the hospital which didn't bother us but it had an access road in front of the cabin that was so easy to go to one side of town or the other. The home was very comfortable and there was a nice patio outside where we could eat. A lot of Elk around the property when we went in October. 16 Ellk went by one night grazing through the side yard. This house is very spacious with comfy seating in living room. Garage to park in was great. Plenty of towels, hand towels and wash cloths. We had a great stay. The only issue we had with this is it was August and house gets warm with no air conditioning. There is one box fan in house and thankfully we brought our own fans also. It helps to put fans in the windows but some a/c in bedrooms would really be nice. The hospital is right across the street but surprisingly it was quiet. Pros: the house was spacious, with a large great room to relax in, the bed was comfortable, the towels were great, and the garage was extra nice to have as it got into single digits at night. The furnace worked well and the house is well insulated. The wraparound porch looked nice, but February is not the time to use it. Cons: the shower head has calcium build up and did not spray well - it should be replaced. The house is across the street from the hospital rather than away from town as the picture looks - fortunately we only heard 2 sirens the whole weekend. This is a Vacasa property, so there are extra fees besides the VRBO fee, just be aware of the added cost, it was like adding another night’s stay to the overall bill. My husband was concerned with the electrical wiring on the porch - it looked very old. ##### Trudy P. We had a problem with the television and he was went above and beyond trying to help resolve the problem. The main issue with the house is that it needs the carpeting replaced. The heater worked very well and the kitchen and bathroom were adequately stocked. The furnishings are VERY eclectic but it goes with the character of the house. I wish the weather had been warmer so we could have enjoyed the porch but we did have beautiful snow so that made up for it. It’s very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the stay! ##### stacey c. Loved the backyard with the grill plus the porch where we had coffee every morning and watched the deer. Appreciated having a dishwasher plus washer/dryer. Spacious living/dining room. Had a very relaxing stay. Just a few negatives - there was carpet in the bathroom and it was very stained (ick) plus the two TV’s worked but you couldn’t access any channels unless you paid for them. Left several messages for the property manager and the owner because we had questions but didn’t hear back from them our entire trip. All in all - beautiful place to stay with tons to do in the area! (But please do something with that bathroom carpet!) ##### Sue T. Bathroom sink leaked quite a bit into cabinet and floor. Step down from kitchen is an accident waiting to happen. Can only stream on tv. No ac in the home. Temperatures while we were there were high 80s during the day so it was warm since none of the windows curtains. Also made it very bright in the bedrooms at 5:30am each morning. ##### Chris H. It's on the top of a hill so be prepared. Quick, easy access to RMNP. House was well appointed and furnished nicely, very comfortable all around and in a pretty setting. Only downside....Previous guests didn't get their money's worth in cleaning fees. I've shared details with Vacasa and they expressed apologies. We pay hefty cleaning fees so the expectation should be a very clean property. Somebody was cutting corners at this location. Not enough to cause us concern, but enough to be skeptical of all of the fees. ##### Chris L. We opened the few windows we could to try and cool it off but it was stagnant inside and there were 0 fans. The one in the smaller room would only run while the light was on so it wasn’t usable. The sheets felt like cheap toilet paper and the pillows were not usable. The flying bugs all over the house were the icing on the cake and we left at 1030 to try to find a hotel since this was not an option to sleep at. ##### Erin G. The location is great - close to everything and easy to get in and out. It was nice to be able to use the garage. The hospital across the street wasn't a problem as far as noise or sirens. The wrap around porch was great and we enjoyed sitting out with coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. It does have some quirks which have been brought up in other reviews:\*The fan in bedroom #2 only runs with the light on. Makes for difficult sleeping when it's warm.\*The bed in bedroom #1 is covered with a mattress pad that has like plastic in it. Maybe to deter bedbugs? It was noisy. Also - you can easily feel the springs in both mattresses.\*No window coverings in bedroom #1\. 5:30 AM is bright!\*The step issue between the kitchen and the bedroom/bathroom level was dealt with by adding a couple outdoor tiles. It is still a trip hazard and my husband stubbed his toe. \*Instructions are conflicting. The garbage instructions in the email were not relevant to this property so I hope we did it right. The listing says you can park 5 cars but the house rules on the refrigerator says 2\. The kitchen was well furnished. We saw deer outside our window almost every day plus it was just a short drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. Downtown Estes Park was within walking distance. Lots of pros and just a few cons --- the carpet in the bathroom was stained (who puts carpet in a bathroom?). Really needs replacement because it took away from the beauty of the home. Also - couldn't get any channels on the TV without paying for them. When we tried to call the property owner and the manager with questions about the TV, where to put the garbage, etc. - we just got a recording and no one got back to us during our stay. That was a little frustrating. Just some attention to minor details would have made the stay perfect! ##### Sue T.
