We attended a wedding 10 miles away, and paid less then half of the price we would have if staying at the venue. Hotel far exceeded our expectations after reading the reviews. Not sure if we were lucky or that people had bad experiences. I will recommend, thank you for a lovely night.
a wonderful, relaxing long weekend with my husband at Down Hall Country House. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, the accommodation was very good value for money.........the other stuff was a bit pricey but to be expected really. We would happily stay there anytime.
Facilities were good but the room had a door that lead to the next room. This was of course locked but had no sound proofing. As a result I did not sleep very well because of the noise.
I had booked 2 rooms for my family our room was fine although the bed was very hard, my daughter arrived at 9:pm only to be told that her room was not ready and would be another half an hour ! Considering check out is 12 ... not good enough Not their fault but there was a large group staying that ...
Check in was very easy, our room was perfect. Breakfast was available from 4am which was great because we had a very early flight. We were able to take coffee from breakfast in a takeaway cup!
