"Like hanging out with old friends"
They adopted us like family. They were fun to be with and extremely helpful with all our needs. The building is old and lacks a lift. So navigating the narrow steep stairs can be be difficult. But the bartender was more than helpful carrying our luggage up. The town centre is a short walk and well worth seeing. It is the site where the Mayflower launched with the Pilgrims for America. And Blossom the cook makes incredible meals at a modest price.

"Quiet well located hotel"
First time I've used Orsett Hall and have to say it is a very nice hotel with good quality pleasant professional staff. Everything is to a fairly high standard including the beautiful spa area. The Garden restaurant offers good quality food and priced well to compete with most other hotels. My room was very large and very comfortable and had a wet room for the shower room. Two bad points about shower room is that it is designed for a wheelchair user so the sink is a tiny cloakroom type sink low down with no waste plug facilty. It makes it very difficult for a tall person like me to shave. The other draw back is the wet room makes the floor completely flooded so you cannot walk back in and out of the bathroom without getting your feet wet over and over again. I was extremely unlucky as when I went to use the spa which I was looking forward to after a hard working day the pool lights had gone out and the hot tub had emptied itself. I used the other facilities for over an hour but no one who knew how to fix the problem turned up

"Easy location to sea front and shopping centre"
Staff very polite and efficient, room newly decorated but a bit out of date. eg, painting over embossed paper, regency wall paper in restaurant, floral tiles in bathroom. But in a way it adds character to the place. The most important, it's clean and comfortable. My only complaint is, I stayed 2 nights and my room wasn't cleaned the morning of the second day even tho I hung 'please tidy room' sign outside door. Overall, it was good value for money, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to my less demanding and fussy friends

Facilities were good but the room had a door that lead to the next room. This was of course locked but had no sound proofing. As a result I did not sleep very well because of the noise.

"Good location , fair price and excellent breakfast"
Very clean seafront room . Friendly reception staff. Comfortable and quiet room The only negatives are no parking and an odd bar area which looked like a 1970s themed bar but I don't think was supposed to. Apart from that a very nice hotel and I would stay again.
