Stayed overnight to attend a friend’s birthday in Esher. Great location, reasonably priced and really friendly & helpful staff. Nice clean room with tea and coffee facilities which was great in the morning. Easy access to room out of hours and easy key drop when we left.
Stayed here again as just down the road from the racecourse. Rooms are ok but the bed was dreadful! Metal headboard and it squeaked all night at the slightest bit of movement! (Room 6) Water, tea and coffee all provided. No breakfast facilities so you have to go out. Would recommend if you just need to get your head down
Location is great with lots to do nearby. Was excited to stay as other reviews were decent. Sadly I really didn’t have a good experience; the bathroom was very dirty with lots of mold growing in the shower (the type that could be cleaned with a scrubbing brush and product), no extraction in the bathroom - therefore water stains down all the walls, broken magnifying mirror, tv worked but had a crack in it and although the bed was comfortable, if you moved a limb the whole think creaked (genuinely any movement resulted in creaking). I’d say the place is in some serious need of TLC, it’s a shame as it simply hasn’t been maintained well.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Was charged more than the quoted price of £214 was £238. Room was too warm for a good sleep. Apart from that was a good location and on a quiet street.
Greeted by Elliot in the pub. Stayed in the hotel which is a mess house 20 m from the pub. Room was reasonable size and clean. Only comment would be there was no bin and not sure if there was WiFi?
Pub was excellent and run in fully Covid compliant manner. The hotel was excellently situated on the high street.
Pub pleasant, food OKish but pub/restaurant not open till 8am so no cooked breakfast available earlier. Continental breakfast was supposed to include hams & yoghurts but didn’t & had to juggle carry it back to room upstairs to eat.
Liked everything, superb welcome, attentive staff, stylish bar-restaurant, lovely bedroom, good menu, excellent quality, good wine, fairly priced.
Nothing at all is the answer to what I didn't like.
a gem
No car parking for customers. Had to park my car on the street.

Response from The Albert Arms on 28 Mar 2019
Hi there,
Unfortunately no, we do not have our own car park but there are many parking options available in the area including a car park directly beside our hotel. Apologies for any inconvenience caused during your stay.
Best wishes.
The Albert arms was a lovely place to stay. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make the most of it as I worked through most of the night. The time I had to rest though was aided by the pleasant ambience of the room and amenities.
