"Juana and Olivier couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, and they were there whenever we needed help. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable as were the bathrooms and large kitchen with everything you would need. The whole pool area is full of beautiful plants and very welcoming. We really enjoyed being part of the Velez Malaga village. Don't miss Casa Domi for lunch or dinner. It's only 2 doors down and has fabulous food."

"Great value for money, we were very pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded to a family size room from a normal double. It was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed, and very close to the shops. There is a busy road out the front so maybe a back room will be quieter. All in all we would stay there again. "

"Had a fantastic family getaway in Villa Camaleon 27th Dec 2024-1st Jan 2025. The villa is up on a hill overlooking the coast, well situated with pretty Italian Cypress trees along the driveway. Completely private, feels remote but has a nice little neighbourhood on the hillside which feels safe. Pack a torch for evening walks. The road up is a single track with pull in areas, we enjoyed the track up and down for the views, if you're an experienced driver no issue, if less so, just take it steady. The villa is clean and tidy with eveything you will need for your stay, washing machine, kettle, hair dryer, plenty of towels, entertainment etc. The pool was great, with coloured lights. Pretty gardens. The best supermarket to stock up - El Ingenio, Velez-Malaga,there is a fuel station and mall type convenience. During our stay we visited Caminito del Rey & El Gaitanejo, the well photographed narrow gorge walkway, we had encounters with goats, found fossils and loved watching the train pass through the gorge, a marvel of engineering. We had a great day out at Cueva De Nerja which is a stunning cave with spectacular formations, there was also a VR experience which sent my brain into a tizzy about simulation theory and some really pleasant botanical gardens. We took quite a hike one day and visited Bajada al Canuelo a lesser trodden, clean, beautiful beach, steep way down from the car park through the woods & back up the road. Lots more to see and do! "We (Elderly parents + adult daughter) stayed at La Loma for 2 weeks in Sep 2024. Overall it was an enjoyable stay and we had a good time with fantastic weather. Good Points: 1. An attractive villa in a great setting; Stunning views and good walks (mostly on the roads). 2. Good hot water. 3. Traffic on the mountain roads always drove slowly (circa 30 KPH) and were always very friendly. 4. Good walking on the local roads and tracks. Less Good Points 1. NO WiFi !! 2. Swimming Pool looks bigger in the photos that it actually is. In addition NOT child friendly as no shallow end and min depth is approx 1.5m. Also very visable to surrounding area due to its height. 3. No Villa File - General Instructions, Emergency contacts, Supermarkets, Areas of Interest, local recommended restaurants, etc. Check in consisted only of unlocking the doors and photographing passports! No advice on rubbish disposal or recycling rules/requirements. No written Instructions on how to get to the villa; Only a google map 'Pin Drop' Whats App Message. Fortunately our daughter (and now I can) was able to sort this! 4. Furnishings limited - no bedroom chairs; one bedroom with 2 x double beds had no furniture at all apart from the beds; bedsite lights very low powered. Fans noisey. Cutlery limited; No coffee or Tea pots. 5, External/Pool furniture very limited for a villa supposedly accomodating 9 people (in reality 7) and loungers very uncomfortable. Also, the flower pots shown in the photos, are no longer ar"

"We had a fabulous family holiday at what was a clean and modern apartment with all the mod-cons that you could ask for. The views across the mountains were truly spectacular because of the elevated position and we would never get sick of them, and the terrace at the rear is amazing, day and night! The side road in was an eye opener but you just need to take it easy (Dont turn right out of the villa unless 'you literally live on the edge' :-) Doris who owns the property was wonderful, couldnt do enough for us, gave lots of local info and was on hand to clean the pool after some high winds that blew leaves and dust in. The pool was great and we all spent a lot of time in it. All in all it was a brilliant stay, we didnt want to leave and this property is recommended. Tip - Best to use the supermarkets in Velez, as MUCH cheaper than nearby. Thanks Dori"
