Great Hotel
Beautiful hotel, room was quite large and well furnished. Ate at the bar in the small restaurant and the food/service was excellent too.

Reception staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, including refreshments and ice cream. The dog bed, water bowl, and treats provided in the suite also added a personal touch appreciated by our four-legged family member. The property celebrates its heritage while offering all the mod-cons expected from demanding guests like ourselves, including EV charging. Our stay felt extremely relaxing in what is a very beautiful and quiet location.

Fantastic hotel well worth a visit
A fantastic hotel created from the shell of an old monastery. Design, feel, rooms, staff, everything about this hotel says 5 star!!

Nice hotel. Rural location. Some difficulty understanding the signs / hotel communication as all printed material is in German. Would be helpful to have some translations.

Absolutely lovely! There is not one thing that could be changed. Customer service was A+, room fantastic, food great, spa area more than adequate and the history!

Well built, maintained total atmosphere.
Really a great stay. It's not modern, but it's very well built, maintained and cleaned! The service of my late check-in and the royal breakfast helped me relax. Only stayed very short, but will stay again. Perfect price quality.

Abbey at Hornbach
The location in an old abbey is intriguing and well done. The church bells that ring the quarter time are charming. (They did not wake us up, but made us smile!) The food at dinner was terrific with generous wine pairings. We hired a historian to give us a tour of the abbey grounds and Hornbach; he was great. We also enjoyed exploring the roads and land around Hornbach both in France and Germany.

Nice as a switch.
Decided to spend the weekend in the countryside while on a prolonged business trip. Glad I did. This is a unique hotel with unusually good customer service and nice appointments in the room like nespresso machine. Highly recommended.

Great hotel for a decent price.
Best hotel we stayed in during our recent trip to Frankfurt, Berlin, and Munich. Staff was courteous and professional. Room was clean and neat. Food was excellent. Entire hotel complex provided a relaxing atmosphere. Would have liked to stay longer. Only downside was a failed elevator.

Great hotel
I had a fabulous time at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and everyone spoke English as well.

Beim Check in mussten wir feststellen, dass es sich bei dem gebuchten Zimmer um ein Maisonette handelt und sich beim Badezimmer mit Toilette nur eine Schlafcouch befindet. Eine Schlafcouch kommt derzeit aus gesundheitlichen Gründen nicht infrage. Beim Auschecken heute Morgen mussten wir den vollen Preis, 252 €, zahlen. Wir wurden darauf hingewiesen, dass Provisionen an EXPEDIA zu zahlen sind. Auch ein Hinweis, dass bei EXPEDIA kein Hinweis auf eine Maisonette zu finden ist, brachte uns nicht weiter. Das Hotel wird EXPEDIA kontaktieren. Wir erwarten in diesem Fall eine kundenfreundliche Lösung, da wir das Zimmer wechseln, in einer geringeren Kategorie wohnten und dafür den Preis zahlen möchten.

Eine sehr schön Instandgesetzter Hotelumbau von einem ehemaligen Kloster. Viel Sandstein und tolle wunderschöne Einzelelemente - Total freundliches Personal mit Welcome Sekt und Führung zum Zimmer - Sehr schöne Sauna und Badewelt im Gewölbekeller - Überall kleine Annehmlichkeiten wie kostenfreier Tee und Getränke sowie Eis.
