Very nice hotel, excellent location, great staff. Our flight back home was delayed for 48 hours, and Guadalupe and Kevin from the hotel Front Desk were of great help in sorting out this problem. The hotel has a very nice restaurant. Our waiter, Sara provided great service

Entre Ríos, meaning “between two rivers,” is appropriately named due to its beautiful location in eastern Argentina between the Uruguay and Paraná rivers. Come to Entre Ríos to relax on the river banks, haggle for goods in a local craft market and go wildlife-spotting in nature reserves. 

Visit the provincial capital, Paraná, to enjoy outdoor sports on the River Paraná. Paraná also features the bulk of the region’s cultural attractions. See paintings and sculptures at the Museum of Fine Arts Dr. Pedro E. Martinez and head to the Provincial Museum and Craft Market to purchase colourful ponchos and ceramics.

Marvel at the Spanish colonial homes in the city of Victoria and attend a service at Our Lady of Aranzazu Church. For relaxation, head to the mineral salt water pools of La Paz’s hot springs.

Plan your trip to Colón, a city in northeastern Entre Ríos, around its annual craft fair. Wander around the gardens of Parque Dr. Herminio J. Quiros. Sunbathe on the banks along the Uruguay River and unwind in the hot springs and pools of Termas de Colón. A short drive south will take you to the dusty pink San José Palace, the one-time residence of the Argentine general and Argentine Confederation president, Justo José de Urquiza.

To the north of Colón is El Palmar National Park, a natural refuge populated by mountain foxes and wild boars among other animals. El Palmar was first created to protect the palm groves of Yatay and also encompasses forests and small mountains. Put on your hiking boots to discover the riverbanks or head to dedicated birdwatching viewpoints.

Most international flights into Entre Ríos arrive at Ministro Pistarini International Airport, outside Buenos Aires. From here, one option is to rent a car to travel along to Entre Ríos. For a less expensive way of travelling around the region, use the local bus network. Long-distance buses usually have air-conditioning. Consider planning your visit for January and February when Carnival celebrations get underway and a festive atmosphere pervades.
