Nice hotel, with a pleasant bar area and garden. The room was ok. The duvet would have been more suitable for the winter months. The sheets were rough to the skin, and the mattress was alright for one night but it was far from comfortable.

Pleasant stay at this hotel.
Nice hotel, really good hot breakfast, evening bar service was good, easy to find. Think i heard its being taking over by the corporate giants, and being refurbished. So who knows what it will be like then

Receptionist really unfriendly and it's insane they expect you to pay for parking when there's on free street parking really close by

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry you found our receptionist unfriendly.Regarding the parking. Pay 5 for CCTV and a night watchman, for secure overnight parking or use the side roads. The choice is yours.

No real welcome.
I am sad to say that my general impression from my first conact was not terribly good. By telephone and in person there was no real feeling of hospitality. It was a 3rd reunion gathering for school friends who have travelled some distance to see each other. Previously, more than a week before the event, I had called to inform the hotel that my husband was unable to attend due to family circumstances. We had paid for the meal well in advance, but there was never any offer of a refund. Room was very pleasant but unremarkable for the £139 double with no breakfast. I would rather not continue with a dissection, but suffice to say I will not be returning

The hotel is in need of updating in certain areas. Our room was dated and the mattress was old (every spring creaked and it was really hard). We were surprised as the website says comfy beds but for us this wasn’t the case. The noise transfer from the room above was really awful too, we were woken on multiple occasions over our 2 night stay. If we’d been top floor I don’t think we’d have had any issues. It was also a little hot and we didn’t feel safe leaving the windows wide open being on the ground floor. Shower gel was empty on night one but this was soon rectified after we spoke with cleaning. Parking is not free either and they charge £5 per night for this. Personally, I’d just put this charge in the room rate.

Room was very nice and beds were comfortable but pillows were to soft for me.Bit of a shock to have to pay for parking during my stay must of missed this while booking.

Good stay
I have stayed here a couple of times, it's a good clean hotel with all the necessary facilities. Only gripe is that you have to pay additional for parking which really should be included especially considering its location isn't central to anywhere I wouldn't have thought there would be many non resident cars using their car park.

Buyer Beware - This hotel is past its sell by date
Buyer beware. This hotel is simply awful. I waited in reception for 5 minutes before someone noticed I was waiting to check in. The 2 night stay incurred a £10 parking fee I wasnt made aware of prior to booking. No offer of help with my suitcase to the room, and scant instructions about how to locate my room on the first floor, accessed by a set of stairs. Also, told I had to provide them with a decision on the spot about whether or not I wanted breakfast at extra cost, and what time i wanted it, if I wanted it. Room 32 - i could hear every movement in each room around me, combined with every time a toilet was flushed, it sounded like the waste was being flushed right down the wall i could hear every flush. The second night, I could hear people talking above my room, and just as i was trying to get to sleep I heard every word from guests outside room 32 bidding each other goodnight, waking me up. The water pressure in the sink and the shower was pitifully low. The lack of a warm welcome, combined with the dated appearance, decor, and frankly appaling lack of service for the price, means I will not stay here again, not worth a single star. Two nights of the worst sleep I have endured whilst working away on business.

Excellent Stay; been before, will come again
Excellent staff service from Check-In, through Dining and to Check-Out. Room excellent although the heating wasn’t obvious and it was a little ‘cool’ in the room overnight. Food was of a high standard.

The most convenient location for our brief visit to Emsworth, though certainly not the cheapest. Didn't expect to be charged for parking. Very comfortable and clean. Food good. Staff friendly and helpful

Nice hotel.
Overall nice stay, location good for visiting attractions, nearest town a 20 minute walk, which was fine. Hotel clean, food nice. Large car park shame they feel the need to charge parking as not in a town where limited.
