Pleasant surprise
I was totally surprised by this Mainstay Suites. I don’t think I ever stayed at this brand of hotel. I found it wonderful. It’s got a kitchen with full refrigerator, burners and appliances available at the desk at no extra charge. Free coffee. WiFi worked well.

Great stay
This hotel was just what my friend and I needed. We were in town for homecoming and weren’t planning on staying the night. The cold and rain changed our plans. The room was nice and clean, the beds were super comfortable. Check-in/out was quick and easy. We did miss the breakfast bag unfortunately.

Nice kitchenette if you want to prepare food. Lots of TV channels. But our room smelled odd not sure if what the smell was and the door stuck so it was hard to open and you had to make sure you pushed it shut.

Signing in was convenient, amicable and organized. Closeness to Emporia was a bonus. The room had all the amenities needed if we wanted to cook.

1st room toilet overflowed He quickly got us another room but not with sit down tub shower, 2nd room tv did not work, 3rd room had to shut air off due to noise. We stayed in that room and reported in morning at check out. I also sent an email to Hotels Choice corporate about the issue. First time we had this many issues. The night cleok did what he could for us by changing rooms. I don’t know who checks rooms before putting someone in them.

There was a cockroach in the bathroom. The hotel also charged $50/pet which wasn’t disclosed anywhere until time of payment. We had two well behaved, clean dogs with us so the price felt extreme and unnecessary. It was not worth the stay.

Room was very clean and neat. I didn’t realize it was an extended stay until I saw the mini kitchen. Would say the the straight back wooden chair was very uncomfortable. It actually hurt my back to sit on it. Also you should put a sign on the wall to use the thermostat to control the HVAC. Took me awhile to realize the control was there just didn’t see it for a hike.

This was a nice place to stop over on a road trip. Price was fair and the place had good linens and bedding. Friendly staff. Would stay again!

Great Hotel!
This hotel is everything that a hotel should be: clean, comfortable, cheery with friendly staff and an outstanding price. I travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels and this hotel was great!

Disc Golf Trip
Went to Emporia for the Glass Blown Open and had a great time. Hotel was clean and comfortable and I will stay there again without hesitation.
