Towneplace Suites by Marriott Chattanooga South / East Ridge
10/10 Excellent
"I was on a road trip. This was an extremely clean and quiet, safe small hotel not super elaborate not a big bunch of fancy stuff but every single thing you need when traveling the staff was outstanding. I’m serious outstanding I would give them five stars if I could, that’s how polite kind and conscientious of their clients checking in as anywhere I’ve stayed in the United States. I have been in 40 states this was a very good hotel, especially for the reasonable price. I will definitely stay here again."
"The Country Gem* is the perfect name for this peaceful, well-appointed home. Tucked off a shared concrete drive with its own circular driveway, it sits on 2 private acres—no neighbors in sight from the back porch. Shaded parking is a bonus in the afternoon sun. I initially worried about securing our Yakima trailer and bikes, but after 8 days, I realized it was unnecessary. The nearby neighbor also keeps trailers outside with no issues—clearly a safe spot.Inside, the home impressed us even more. First: the coffee. My wife, a serious coffee drinker, was delighted by the variety of teas and flavored coffees—best selection she’s seen. Our group (grandparents, kids, and grandkids ages 22 months to 9 years) had plenty of space. The four bedrooms were roomy, and the large kitchen and living areas had generous seating. The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything we needed. The location is great—minutes to Costco, Food City, and I-75. Traffic into Chattanooga on I-75 North can back up in the afternoon, but alternate routes are close by.Fun touch: a big Jersey cow painting in the living room. No matter where you stand, the cow "follows you."I left a few suggestions for the owner, Kerry, who was gracious and receptive. All in all, a wonderful stay. In keeping with the bovine theme, I give this home a "Grand Champion" rating!"
Scenic Log Cabin on 12 Acres: hot tub, jacuzzi, and fireplace, NEWLY RENOVATED
10/10 Excellent
"Overall we enjoyed our stay. Easy Access - We received easy to follow instructions, and found the property simple to find and access.Comfortable - The cabin was cozy and comfortable, even for our large family. We were able to hang out and relax, or come and go to enjoy ourselves with other activities.Good Amenities - When at the cabin there were plenty of amenities to keep us occupied such as pool, air hockey, foosball, checkers, boardgames and TV. There is a great view behind the cabin as well as trails accessible directly from the backyard. The bathrooms all have great water pressure and hot water, making cleaning up easy.Well Stocked - We found the cabin to be well stocked with everything we needed including pillows, extra blankets, towels, and a kitchen filled with all of the items we needed on our stay.Wear & Tear - Though newly renovated, there are a few items that need attention. The light in the main floor bedroom was hanging by exposed wiring and didn't work. The kids bedroom had a broken table lamp. The kitchen's fridge had a broken water and ice dispenser - and we drink lots of water. And the living room furniture seemed fairly worn.Cleaning Requirements - We were also a little surprised by the cleaning requirements. We rechecked the listing and it mentions gathering bedding and towels, but once on site the instructions were more than expected."
