With just a small investment this place could be perfect: put AC window units in the bedrooms, buy 2 more kayaks so that at family of 4 can kayak together (we knew there were only 2 going in, but really, I doubt they get many parties of 2 renting the place!), fix the leaking kitchen sink (prior review noted that it was leaking weeks before we got there). Easy access to Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, Acadia and the Schoodic peninsula. After a day of adventures we loved coming back to the quiet and secluded home with wonderful lake views.
